Liked: Warm welcome from the person controlling the grounds who showed us to our pitch.

Disliked: On arrival at around 14:30hr reception was closed. The person controlling the grounds advised that we should of had a email with the barrier access code. Unfortunately, we didn't receive any emails from the site only Pitchup confirmation emails. So we had no site entrance code or any WiFi password. We could get access back on to site by one of us getting out of the car and walking passed the RTE IR beam. Every time we did that some shouted the code is on your email. We did look for someone in reception each time we drove passed, but we were going out before they opened up and returning after they had closed.

This site is gearing up to be mainly a static caravan site - by the layout of each pitch. There were only one male toilet and one female toilet in a combined entrance and one shower unit with its own entrance. I went over to check the shower unit, opened the door and walked in on a lady taking a shower. I was informed by the lady that the shower door doesn't lock properly. My wife advised that the ladies toilet also didn't lock, but there was a working lock on the outside door of the toilet block containing both male and female toilets. But by using this lock it locked both the ladies and gents at the sometime which really means only one toilet available if you want privacy, which most of us want when on the toilet. On the female toilets the toilet seat didn't fit and the build finishing quality was below standard. I only went to the male toilet once and it was discussing how the person before had left it - not the sites fault but forms part of...

Liked: The barman

Disliked: It was like camping in a gravel pit. There was nowhere beside the A64 to walk my dog.It is in the middle of nowhere so if you didn’t have a car you would be stuck.Nobody was there to meet us except a very odd man who pointed us in the direction of where he had just put £30 on the meter. When someone else came with a dog he came to tell us All dogs have to be a lead.We pointed to our dogs so he could see it didn’t belong to us.He then moaned about dog poo whilst his dog just wondered around as it liked. There is only 1 shower for the whole sight, which was just a box room added to the toilet. No mirror, extracter fan or anywhere to put your things.Only one bathroom for each sex.The ladies even had excrement on the floor.Neither had locks on the door’s or working lights. No bins for sanitary purposes.Nothing at all was wheelchair friendly. The pub/bar only opened 4 nights over the weekend. There was a tiny old looking children’s area with missing swings and not much else. There was no clear marked place for your toilet waist. No laundry or a sink in sight. The whole place was just a gravel park surrounded by farmers spreading muck. I couldn’t believe the water set up ( tap ) is attached to the grey waist pole sticking up out of the ground. There was no nature, nothing to entertain myself or my dogs.I can honestly say If I didn’t have to have stayed I would have just left. It most definitely did not live up to the hype on the internet which just shows you pay more attention to advertising rather than actually making a campsite that fits the...

I am extremely disappointed with my stay here. The location is lovely and the hot tub was nice The place looked clean until we saw the bed The bedding was so old it was crusty and Bobbly the mattress sank in the middle I felt like I was in hell We had to leave a night early because the bed was unbearable to sleep in Personally I think when you spend money to stay away you automatically expect that you’re paying for that amazing night sleep in a big comfy bed It would be such a lovely place if it was a little bit updated and new mattresses and bedding I’m massively disappointed that I spent a lot of money for 2 night and could only bare 1

When complained to the owner he believes the bed is down to personal preference however I can assure you that NOBODY would like to sleep in that bed where your feet are higher than your head and you can barely moved because you just sink in the middle. Massively massively disappointing and I would not recommend as the owner just takes your money and doesn’t care about the welfare of...

It's a good place to stay Central to everything we wanted to do It's handy if you have a car but bus stops are just a 5-minute walk away. People are so friendly on the site. If you need to know anything just ask anyone on site even the barman in the Snooty Fox bar he's brilliant. The place we stayed in is an apartment with a jacuzzi It has an air fryer microwave kettle toaster and the basics
