This is a lovely campsite that I have visited many times. The owners Pam and Steve are lovely, so warm and friendly. It is a clean site and peaceful. Behind the site is the bristol to bath Cycle track. Lovely walks down to the river. Easy access to both bristol and bath. Some nice places to eat out in the local area and supermarkets are nearby. There is a 24 hour garage very close that sells all of the provisions that you would need. I go to this campsite to chill. The price is reasonable for a basic site. Each time I go I hear nothing but favourable things from other campers, who often stay longer than they intended. Highly recommended.

Love it here. Very quiet camping with loads of space complimented by the occasional sound of a passing steam train. If you want to visit Bath or Bristol you get a bus close by or you can cycle in to both places along the adjoining cycle track. No electricity but has toilets, fresh water supply and black waste disposal. Owners are great and Billy their dog is a star...

Really friendly run campsite. Felt instantly welcomed. Its very secure, so my two kids were able to explore without the worry. We went for a walk across the felds to a pub, we saw loads of wildlife, even a deer skipping through a field. The alpaca cuddle was lush.

Beautiful site with a beautiful owner. Never met a woman with such a big heart and wonderful soul! Talking with Pam is such a pleasure, never have I been welcomed onto a site like I was by Pam and cute little Billy. The site is very well looked after with plenty of space. There is a lovely wild area in the middle so you aren’t looking directly at a neighbour across the way, everywhere you look is green full of nature. There are lots of bird to watch and listen to, butterflies and even birds of prey. I was lucky enough to come face to face with a barn owl using the wild area to hunt one evening. The facilities are basic and have everything you would need, toilets, fresh water, black waste, recycling and waste bins. If you are lucky you will catch a glimpse of the Alpacas in the adjoining field whilst collecting your water or visiting the toilets. This site is immaculate and has friendly people staying here. It is officially our favourite site ever! It is also dog friendly and is definitely big enough for a trot around with your furry companions and plenty of nature walks nearby as well as a cycle path that takes you directly into Bristol or Bath. Thank you for a wonderful stay Pam! Well done on what you have achieved here! Keep doing what you are doing because you have nailed it! Cant wait...

Liked: Total serene location and atmosphere within the camping field, the location is perfect if you're visiting Bristol, not too close to the city and built up more noisy areas and yet still an affordable taxi ride away. Pam (the owner) is lovely, she came for a chat and gave us all the details should we wish to travel by bus into the city

I met some of the other campers/customers and they were all lovely and friendly, i took some photographs of a couple or of their dogs and sent them over once we got home, and gifted a board game I had made to a long term couple to have fun with their grandkids, a great place to make some new friends

Disliked: nothing to dislike, this is a well kept very basic site - portaloo toilets are gleaming clean and the price reflects the more 'wild camping' vibe.

Unsure if there is wi-fi but there is a great reception on...

Liked: No fuss no frills campsite with basic facilities. Portaloos were very clean and well stocked. There was a drinking water and grey water tap and chemical waste point and that was it. Just as we like it. Site was well kept and all visitors spread themselves out nicely and it was super quiet. Cycle track to Bath along the heritage railway runs directly behind the site. Stopped along route for coffee and had a pub lunch on the way back at the Locksbrook inn which sits on the bank of the river. Perfect. There is a Bristol/Bath bus stop a few metres away. Convenience store and garden centre a short stroll away too. What’s not to like. Price was great...
