Ullswater Heights — Hotel in Great Britain

Cant fault the site for how clean, and well kept it is. The site has nice bar/restaraunt along with a nice view over the old quarry. There is a playground, multiple activies at specific times like archery for example and mini golf on site which is a good touch. The cabins do feel a bit on top of each other, however the safari tents are well space out. The safari tents were large inside, modern and had everything you need. Wood is supplied freely from a hut nearby for the log burner inside. There isnt much in terms of views for most of the site, and i find that the site is a bit out the way in terms of location as nothing is in walking distance. One real negative being is that we were told we couldnt sit inside at the bar due to being fully booked, so we sat outside. We were there for 3 hours and no one sat where we were, nor did it get full at any point to where it was "fully booked", there was plenty of...

This is great place to use as a base for exploring the Ullswater area of The Lake District, or just to relax and get away for some peace and quiet. We stayed in an escape plus lodge for 4 nights, two adults and two teenagers. The lodge had absolutely everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The site is very well maintained and is lovely and quiet on a night time. The only two very slight down sides were that the onsite restaurant gets busy and as the site is quite isolated there's very little choice for eating out unless you book in advance or are happy to drive somewhere. When we did eat in the restaurant the food took quite a while to come, but they acknowledged this and sent us some garlic bread to eat while we waited. Went to ullswater hights a few weeks back for 4 nights, we absolutely loved our stay, the lodge was so well equipped for us and our 4-legged friend, we only went the to lake house once just for a drink. The place is well maintained and kept to a high standard, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were only 2 things that let it down was the seating out the back of our spa lodge was very grubby and could have done with a scrub and the hot tub was far to hot and no way of turning the temp down and we kept forgetting to ask cause we are all old codgers. But even tho these 2 things weren't on point for us, I would highly recommend and shall be returning...
