Cannot believe I'm writing this review, seem like we've just arrived at the lodge yesterday and enjoying the hot tub and sun.|We went as a family of 5 ( including our fluffy dog) and stayed at Housesteads it was perfect as the garden was fenced so our dog can run around in the grass, sadly you either have to go through the bedroom to the garden (when your guests are awake) or through the double doors and then the gate, but that didn't bother us going through the room but wanted to share.|The lodge was warm and welcoming, ahead of arrival, Craig messaged us and gave us complimentary earlier check in but sadly we weren't able to be there until later due to long journey.|The kitchen was equipped and each guest was given towels and robes for the hot tub.|The single room were spacious and a lot of space for luggage and even a dog bed too! Sad thing about it was the blinds, they were lovely and match the lodge but if you want to sleep in a bit, the double room is better as the sun rises on the side where the single room is, we went in the summer so you can imagine we were up at 4am each day . Haha!!||Location was great and went out bascially everyday exploring nearby towns and cities, as well as lovely beaches. Definitely look at coming back...

Enjoyed a fantastic stay at the luxurious Vindamora log cabins, near Ebchester.|A very warm and professional welcome from the estate manager.|Ample parking near the lodge with a charging point which was handy as we have a hybrid car.|The lodge and private outside area for our lodge was incredible!|We stayed in the Oswin log cabins. Huge cantilevered terrace with table and chairs and calming countryside vista. Hot tub was amazing with well finished private grassed area and additional seating.|Inside did not disappoint, many little luxury touches. Twinnings tea assortment in presentation box. High quality coffee machine. Luxury dressing gowns and towel swans.|Flat screen TVs with super fast internet for streaming YouTube etc.|Very comfortable bed in master suite with high quality bed linen.|We also got to meet James the friendly site owner who was interested in seeing how our stay was.|We visited the Roman site near Corbridge and wharnley waterfalls near Allensford.|All in all we’d recommend these lodges to anyone looking for high end quality in a lovely location with enouyto do nearby, or just stay on site and relax and unwind.|5...

This was a very nice place, but there are issues to be aware of. For one, the bed is not a comfy king-size bed, but 2 singles connected and it is not as nice as it could be. Premier Inn beds come to mind. There was no duvet and the pillows were old and flat, and there are 2 rather irritating lights keeping the bedroom too light. The lights in general are extremely bright, so there is not such a nice atmosphere in the lounge area. And finally, I am very short and old. I could not reach the plug for the microwave without standing on a chair, and could not reach many of the glasses. And the towels were not fluffy or luxurious, the dressing gown flimsy and small. I did enjoy the time, the coffee machine and the hot tub and the telly, but it all could have been more luxurious. I would have preferred some condiments, like oil, instead of wine! And lastly, they charged me £30 to be able to check out at a time every other hotel I have stayed in...

A beautiful place to relax, lovely views, very quiet & located near loads of towns and visitor attractions. The lodges are sublime, each one with their own hot tub, modern interiors, excellent free wifi connections, smart TV's in the lounge AND bedrooms, and a log burner supplied with a full basket of logs for any cosy nights. Our lodge was fully equipped with EVERYTHING you would need for you home from home break. The manager, Craig was a lovely man & very attentive to our every need, we ordered a food delivery from a local supermarket, which was delivered before we arrived, Craig has put everything away in the fridge & freezer and even supplied a lovely bottle of local wine! Our family cant praise this lovely holiday venue enough. We will definitely be booking again.

When you walk in and find the table set and a bottle of wine waiting, you know its going to be good, and it was. A great standard of accommodation, dressing gowns supplied for the hot tub, you will find soap/shampoo and loo paper. A basket of wood is left for the wood burner. Some of the lodges are Dog friendly, behind a gated entrance operated by a key and access number. Friendly staff, great location - with really handy riverside dog walks and 15 ish miles from Newcastle. 1 pub within (a steep) walk 15 mins (average food), other wise a short drive to amenities, 5 mins drive to a 2nd pub, the Anchor pub, where the food is superb. All good and exceptional value.

Great log cabins on a secure site (all but two of the lodges are behind a security gate opened via mobile phone.) The cabins were a good size, well maintained. We stayed in "Homestead". It had a private garden with table and chairs and a hot tub (covered and with a privacy screen. The cabin has a porch with comfy seats and great views. Large living/dining/kitchen area. Bathroom with shower. Double bedroom and twin bedroom. Numerous windows make the cabin light and airy. Ideally located to visit Beamish open site museum (about 20 minutes drive.) Only downside I can think of, the main bed is a double which feels small if you are used to a king.
