My bestie and I stayed in Willow for 2 nights during the best weather we've had so far this year. Welcomed by wonderful Will and shown round the pod, which was compact & bijou. As usual, packed far too much food, so we struggled to find places to store it. The kitchen does not have a microwave or dishwasher, has very little work surface, has no drawers, and is poorly lit, but for two nights, it was adequate. I wouldn't want more than 2 people staying, esp. If you intend to cook for them amd i woildmt stay longer than a weekend.. It's not big enough for 4. The WiFi is fast and convenient, the bathroom is teeny (I am 6ft tall and found it a squish), but facilities are good in comparison with what you'd expect if camping but not glamping! The design of the pods means that space is at a premium, so i feel it could do with being about 2 feet longer and wider to have a bigger toilet and shower plus cupboards and floor to roof hanging wardrobe. The hot tub is very special. Used all the time, beautifully warm, well maintained, and luxurious. Don't bother with the bbq kit...it's just charcoal in a bag...for £20! I thought that would include some food too! All in all tho a perfect retreat away from stress for a couple of nights. Blissful and just what we needed. If you get the weather as well,it will be an unforgettable stay. Highly recommend the Rose and Crown Sunday lunch, walking to the village, and having a cream tea in...
Read moreWe just came back from our 3 days stay. The location is amazing. Only 50 minutes from North London or about 1 hour 10 minutes from Outer Central London. Will, the owner, couldn't be any nicer and more helpful. Very easy going and attentive person. We would book all the 3 pods for next year. Will was just great. He helped us with everything... Coffee, tea, some refreshments and ice cream too!! All complimentary.
We went to this pub nearby called The Rose amd Crown for a couple of drinks. The owners were there. Very friendly people. It's a very good for drinks. We also met this chap called Toby who lives down the lane...He recommended Open Mead Farm so we ended up going there. It costs about £20 per person but it is the best farm we have been to. It's an open farm, so many animals, so many rides and huge soft play for kids and perhaps adults too😆 we also went to this pub called The Stag at Mentmore for this amazing food and a fantastic customer service. We had Sunday roast and it was just nearly perfect.
We also bought some meat from this local butcher(13 mins drive but worth it) called Parrot Brothers. Excellent sausage and burgers for our BBQ. The owner was a nice person but we think he prefers local customers as they don't faff around ;) I hope he gets Will a drink for his recommendation :)
Thanks Will and we see you next year. I hope you will get an extra pod...
Read moreThanks Will for a fantastic couple of days. |We went as a big family group with children ranging from 3-13 and hired all three huts together. Couldn’t recommend highly enough for those after a similar set up. ||The space was amazing- beautiful views and an enclosed field that felt safe and secure for the children to run around. ||The huts are fab with everything you need - well maintained, very functional, high quality bathrooms - perfect and definitely the definition of glamping. ||The hot tubs were maintained beautifully and heated for us during our stay, Will was flexible and helpful throughout. ||It is equally feels like a very private space with uninterrupted views of the countryside....
