The Bayview Hotel in Port Ballantrae defines luxurious accommodations, fine dining and excellent service. The staff are SO attentive and all seem to effortlessly deliver a wonderful lodging experience. The hotel’s restaurant has a great menu: the breakfast porridge was a huge hit and the delectable vegetable broth was perfect for lunch or a dinner appetizer. The Fish Pie was absolutely delicious: rich, savory and heavenly! The hearty breakfasts were wonderfully prepared and delicious and our lovely server, Alice, was just excellent. Their generous servings and selection of fine wines, beers and spirits will ensure that you don’t leave hungry or thirsty. We had a lovely ocean-view suite that was spacious and comfortable - the jacuzzi was perfect place to relax after hiking Giants Causeway. We savored the fantastic view from the two Stressless leather recliners looking out over Port Ballantrae Harbor. The hotel is a short car trip away from Giants Causeway: one of the most spectacularly beautiful places on the planet. The pretty town of Bushmills is located about 1.6 miles away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and heartily recommend this charming and luxurious hotel on your next visit to the north of Ireland.

This is a very nice hotel, very clean and decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The rooms are very spacious, beds are comfortable and dressed with fine linens and excellent pillows - something most hotels neglect to provide. All the staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. The only issue we found was dinner service. There were many staff serving and tending to customers, however just one member of staff taking dinner orders, we were seated 45 minutes before being served our first course. This is no reflection on the staff but rather the method of taking orders in the dining room. The food is absolutely delicious, with the finest and freshest of ingredients used. Breakfast was very nice, the poached eggs were absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend the wheaten bread, it is delicious! We had a wonderful and relaxing time and look forward to visiting again in the future.

4.5/5 loved the restaurant which has immaculate views and friendly staff! Bay Chowder - the most incredible seafood chowder I have had! Ample pieces of cod and haddock served with a malty bread and soft butter. A must try dish!! Green castle cod - thick filet of cod with crispy skin, served with some chorizo and a roaster red pepper sauce. The accompaniments do not take away from the cod itself but the fish could’ve been better seasoned. Chilies garlic potatoes - We picked a side of chilli garlic potatoes with lemon aioli and garlic aioli. Crispy potatoes with the sauces were to die for! Pan fried sea bass - pickled salad served with a pan fried sea bass that was slightly over cooked rendering it dry. Was supposed to be served with a peanut dressing but we couldn’t taste any. I imagine the dish would’ve been incredible had there been a bit more dressing and the fish wasn’t overdone.

Just checked out of the hotel this morning after an overnight stay in a superior room for New Year's Eve. A mixed opinion of this hotel. Hotel was easy to find and had a convenient car park at the rear. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly member of staff and I had made dinner arrangements for later in the evening, I had queried whether these could be brought forward and she said they were fully booked, however about 30mins later, she rang the room and said I could move my reservation forward by a couple of hours. I appreciated this interest in providing good customer service. The room itself had stunning seaviews, was very clean and amenities were good with a comfortable bed. Bathrobes were provided. The room was quiet when I arrived. Went downstairs to the restaurant, it was very busy which is understandable due to it being New Year's Eve, was offered a window seat which was great. Unfortunately the music was very loud so made it difficult to have conversation. Menu options were okay, I ordered from the Vegan menu, there was a set menu for meat eaters offering courses rather than individual meals. When the food arrived, the portions were very small. My food unfortunately was very bland so I ate my small side order. There was quite a demand for the tables so there was no hanging about. I was quite shocked when I approached the till as my meal had been doubled in price from what was on the printed menu. I queried it with the staff member but she couldn't hear me over the noise levels. Went back upstairs, unresolved. The stay was okay, I did feel the room was overpriced at £239 for one night, I think you are paying for the seaviews and that definitely was the best feature. Breakfast the next morning was definitely quieter which I was glad of as the loud music was shocking all night, I could literally sing along to each song! This went on well into the New Year. Breakfast again, very small portions, buffet selection was poor so I didn't avail of it. The hotel itself has quite nice decor and definitely has the huge advantage of the uninterrupted seaviews. Upon checkout I was disappointed with the reception member, very different attitude from the lady the previous day. She had no interest in my stay, didn't ask how it was. I tried to open conversation regarding the night before but she just asked for payment and gave me my receipt. Very poor customer service and clearly not interested in feedback which is a shame. Overall clean, great views but poor on value for money and in my opinion, if you are doubling the menu price due to it being a popular date then either tell your customers there is a surcharge or remove the normal price as that is very offputting! Majority of staff very friendly, shame about the reception...

Simply magnificent, lovely, clean, and modern hotel with dedicated staff wanting to and delivering exemplary friendly and courteous service to ensure the best possible visit for the patrons. My wife and I's second visit enjoyed the spring break 1 night package and was great value for money, from check-in to leaving wonderful service throughout. The suite overlooking the bay and harbour was spacious and well laid out with complementary snacks, water, and excellent choice of tea's and coffee, with bathrobes and slippers adding for comfort. The decor is fresh and tasteful, bright and modern giving ambuance to the surroundings ,with ensuite excellent and as the rest of the hotel very clean. The restaurant and evening meal great choices and lovelly presented in good size portions has much to offer many taste buds, cooked to perfection, and served by Paul and his team where nothing is too much bother. The same for breakfast good selection and Wonderful food, the Eggs Royale on soda with lovely brown toast was awesome, and service from the friendly staff making for a wonderful and appriciated occasion. Cannot reconmend enough this little gem of a hotel and the immediate bays in its location simply awesome, and visit well...
