I highly recommend the Caldham Lodge BB. We stayed in room 5 - I loved the jetted Tub and heated towel rack (in addition to the rain shower head in the separate shower). The room was nicely modern (grey tones) yet maintained the country charm, spacious and was almost hotel like with the available in-room tea/coffee & mugs, extra water glasses, bathroom glass, micro fridge, shampoo/soap, blow dryer, ironing board, wifi, etc. As well, there was a large flatscreen, large desk area, large wardrobe, very comfortable beds. |The breakfast offerings were wonderful, including a full Irish breakfast. |You can see the effort and care taken in every aspect from the pattern in the table cloths, china patterns and lamp shades. Anne has out put a lot of effort in the little details. |Anne as hostess was amazing, she went over and beyond: she booked us dinner reservations, and provided transportation into town. |We had a beautiful view of the cows & greenery out our large back window. |We stayed in a total of 5 BBs this trip & this was my favourite (tub & heated towel rack, Celtic table cloth design, Anne’s hospitality and the beautiful house won me over). |I would recommend the Lodge & hope to stay here again...
Read moreI booked Caldhame Lodge through a package deal vacation to Ireland. This was the closest B&B to Belfast, NI that was available to us at the time of booking. First of all, the property is beautifully maintained. When we walked in, the inside of the B&B was even better. Our room was very large and well appointed with a nice, large bathroom and comfortable beds. Our host, Anne was very personable and engaging. When she found out that we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner the night before, she told us about a carvery at a local hotel. She even booked our reservations for us. Breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful, well appointed dining room. Our stay at Caldhame Lodge set a very high bar for the B&Bs we had booked for the rest of our trip. Located about 15-20 minutes outside of Belfast City, the Lodge is located in a very rural area. It is, however, located on a busy road. That said, traffic noise was a non-issue. Knowing what I know now, I wish we would have stayed longer. I would...
Read moreI booked The Caldhame House B&B as it was near to Belfast International Airport and it was only for one night.|After a long and stressful day at a trampolining competition we finally arrived at the place at 9.15pm. This was not a problem as our room was ready and so was a warm welcome. |The room was amazing with everything my son and I could imagine needing. After a day competing my son helped himself to a long soak in the bath whilst I chilled and watched tv. It was the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. |Unfortunately we had to get our hire car back by 10am, but we still had time to indulge in a full Ulster breakfast which set us up perfectly for travelling home.|My only regret was that we didn't have longer to stay. This is a wonderful, friendly...
