Liked: Really chilled out place our 1st time camping in years with new tent and didn't feel pressurised to get out so eased alot stress as I've fibromyalgia and after 3 nights in a tent my body was really feeling it today so being able to take my time packing up was a massive relief even though I'm in alot of pain now we have been on checking dates to return another couple times this summer highly recommend very peaceful and quiet and fact u can go to a kitchen with everything u need and make cup tea than having to wait on stove we never used showers but where spotless clean and look forward to going back again soon highly recommend if ur just looking night away for peace and quiet or a wee break with the family suitable for both and the wee gypsy caravans and pods looked lovely also if u don't have a tent you def won't regret it. The weekday who checked us in was lovely and a young man we spoke to while packing up was possibly an owner of site made effort to come over and ask how our stay was we could have stayed on way longer only pitch up said no more spaces available to try and book extra couple nights but worth the money in my opinion
Disliked: Nothing If being picky our pitch was on slightly slope so we did roll to end of tent during night but this isn't a fault of site just unfortunate it was the only pitch we got allocated and rushing to get set up and not knowing size of tent etc we prob could have been better positioned ourself but this is nothing the company can change to be honest but hoping I can request in next booking not to have that pacific...
Read morePLEASE READ 'ADDITIONAL' at the end. We are so sorry we did not want to give this poor rating but for the purpose of other people with noise sensitive dogs we just want you to be aware. Sadly due to the time of year we visited this site the neighbouring farmer had placed an air gun in an adjacent field next to the hedge of the camping field. This airgun went off every 40 seconds. The owners tried to help and the farmer agreed the gun would be turned off at 3pm in future BUT at 7.15 the next morning it started again. Our collie had not only refused to come out of our motorhome but also refused to eat so we had to leave after just 1 night. This said at other times of year there would not be an issue and the toilets and showers were amazingly immaculately clean that we were sad we did not get chance to make full use of them. This site would have been given more stars if it was not for the air gun issue (to our dog) so please give it a chance thank you for trying to help us. ADDITIONAL: Small world but a few days later (elsewhere) we happened to meet a neighbour of this campsite who said this is the first year this has happened and she was going to contact the council regarding the close proximity of the air gun to properties as she believes it could be a...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to the wigwam but unfortunately it just wasn't amazing.
They are so cramped. You really need to be very close to the person you plan on taking with you. The beds are plastic so even with sheets on, they are very noisy.
A rogue large dog roaming around at 2am - not sure if it was the family dog, there was only 1 other camper on our site and it wasn't theirs - disturbed our dog who then wouldn't settle, as the big dog kept roaming back. To save everyone else's sleep I had to take our dog and sleep in the car.
When you consider that you can go further around the coast and sleep in far superior accommodation with amazing views for an extra £20, I just don't think these wigwams are worth it, I'm sorry. We all got very little sleep and feel that we wouldn't return or recommend.
Luckily the rain held off. If it had been bad weather, it would have been horrendous 4 adults and 4 kids squeezed in with very little to do.
On a positive: Hot tubs good. Games room good. Cleanliness good.
Just not worth £150 per night I'm afraid. Or even the...
