Everything was absolutely excellent at when my family and I enjoyed Easter Sunday Lunch at the Valley Hotel. There were 11 of us including 3 & a baby. My son is disabled so we called ahead to ask about entrance & exit & facilities and the staff & management could not have been more helpful. We were greeted by the Owner at the disabled entrance on arrival & we were warmly welcomed to the Hotel. The food was served Carvery style and the Carvery Chef made that experience personal , funny and memorable for all the right reasons. The food it's self was absolutely excellent, there was a huge variety of choice, For starters their was anything from soup to prawn cocktail to volavants and more. The mains had four choices of meat & vegetarian options combined with three different types of potato, more vegatables than I could mention, and little extras from Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and cocktail sausages to cauliflower cheese. With a lovely dew / gravy, with as much as you wanted on your meal. The desert were outstanding, their was excellent selection, which catered for every palette, like large portions of what really tasted like homemade deserts, cheese cakes of different sorts, Apple pies, to different new desserts I have never tried, and then to accommodate those who have that great sweet tooth, there were small miniature portions of the many different deserts, which almost had had fine dining aspect to it, so you litterally could try three different sweets. Then to top it all there was a full ice cream bar that my children and various other family members with a fondness of sweeter things in life were only to delighted to see. Then aftetwards, tea and coffee was served to you at your table but there was never any rush put on you to finish a course quickly. A great sense of timing by the staff indeed. The food was piping on serving, the portions were more than plentiful and most importantly it was seriously delicious, from starters to the tea & coffee finish. It was like a fantastic home cooked meal in taste and quantity combined with the high standard of an excellent hotel quality. The staff were polite, helpful, and discreet their in service. The owner appeared to be as hands on as any of the staff and paid personal attention to each seated party, which was a lovely touch. The team worked liked a well oiled machine and nothing was to much trouble for them. I would go as far as saying, this is one of the best Sunday Lunches I have had the pleasure of having with a fantastic atmosphere, from large family groups to couples. Everyone's needs were catered for. I highly recommend this hotel and the Sunday Lunch to anyone who enjoys really tasty food - (Well who doesn't) Finally the extra thought and attention to detail was excellent, each table was beautifully decorated and set up. There was a lady painting childrens faces, which was a huge hit with all the children- this was complimentary as was the little cream eggs each child wad given on the way in. I truly had a fantastic time and if you do not visit The Valley Hotel for a Sunday Lunch, you will indeed be missing out. Many Thanks to the Hotel for their hospitality, I look forward to...
Read moreThis place is the absolute BEST! We come here with Our family often. The staff at so great with the kids! Tonight we didn’t have the kids, when we walked in the front door the staff were visibly upset that we didn’t have the kids but none the less seated us at a table instantly. I felt like I’d arrived at a wake with my arms the same length (empty handed) |I can’t describe just how amazing the food is, I am delighted with every last bite I have here. My fave main dish the lasagne, but now it’s the beef ‘n’ bird! A lush fillet steak and pepper daises and a chicken satay skewer, with skinny crispy yummy to tobacco onions. My husband alway orders the outstanding chilli beef strips, mega tasty! The kiddies pasta is loved by the whole table on other occasions. The drink selection at the bar is on point, the wines are fantastic and they have a vast array of non alcoholic bevs for the drivers. I have never seen anyone leave without a happy face and a full belly, this place is our go to for the best possible faultless meal. Our favourite. I have to also have to praise this hotel on their Christmas experience! Honestly, if you believe anything anyone ever tells you, trust me when I say, BOOK XMAS FOR YOUR FAMILY HERE! The characters what come out, my kids were over joyed, the Santa is top class, knows EVERYTHING about your kids and the food, yet again, is OUTSTANDING. Hands down best spot for food. I haven’t had...
Read moreHaving driven through Fivemiletown numerous times when staying in various accommodations in Enniskillen, and driving passed The Valley hotel we decided the time was right to give the hotel a try, therefore we booked a 2 night stay. Location is very good considering we had no car so made use of public transport, getting to The Valley Hotel was no problem, (especially as we are retired so have free transport). We even travelled by bus to Omagh, again no problem. We had our meal one of the evenings of our stay and have to say it was first class with no issues, staff were helpful and friendly.
(As coming from an engineering background I would loved to had had my mini toolkit with me to tighten screws etc and finish off the work, such as filling in and finishing off the holes left were work had been commenced but not really finished,) All these little things would take about 30 minutes to put right.
Would definitely recommend the hotel and will get the opportunity to return as the entire stay even with the very small minor gripes I’ve thrown in would not stop us returning. So if you’re ever looking a handyman just...
