The service of this hotel doesn't even deserve 1 star at all if I could give the 0 stars then I would in a heartbeat. So let's start of with the good things the best thing about the hotel is the smug bar great entertainment and nice drinks with a decent price aswell the room was comfy and warm the food was lovely. The staff at the hotel am stroppy and miserable plus you feel isolated in there as all shopping centres and the city was miles away. I can't believe the way they treated us all because I had a argument with mum in the hotel room and there were shouting they think they can chuck out our suitcases outside the hotel the way the did they literally chucked them what caused one of my perfume bottles to break what were gifted for my birthday. I feel that mum's personal well-being is being discriminated all cause she left a sanex pant by the bathroom bin on the floor as we missed room service the first day and there weren't any bin liners to use at the time she has a sensitive bladder and need to use them at night time at some point in life every woman goes through it at a certain age, they tried saying that a did fraud all because I used mum's bank card to order myself a two course meal with a couple of drinks what came to £37 something than I ordered a they horrible st pactricks special cocktail all you could taste was lime and it were very bitter to taste then I ordered a shot aswell the cocktail was £8.95 waste of money if you ask me I ordered a shot aswell so we looking between £45-£50 I spent I even told mum and showed her the receipt I also told her that I had a drink with a shot aswell after paying the for the meal they even lied saying that there was vomit on the bathroom floor when there wasn't we left the hotel room in itchy clothes the place is covered in bed bugs and need professional treatment instead of redecorating. Waterfoot hotel you can stick your £100 fine where the sun doesn't shine I even ordered a room for the night after the argument along with complaints to avoid any further inconveniences what cost £130 a night mum paid for a four night stay where we only stayed for two nights so I'll be wanting a refund for the room that never got used and refund back for the nights we didn't stay for all because the staff chucked us out after a couple of small pity's arguments along with the £130 room that I never had chance to stay in. We are here on Sunday as a change from the usual eating establishments in Derry, and the food didn’t disappoint. Honestly the food was lovely, especially the vegetarian pasta. The vegetarian options were limited but tasty and thankfully something other than a fish & chips option. Tho what did let it down was the service, absolutely shocking! The slowest rudest service I think I’ve ever encountered. |On arrival we were placed into a waiting area, joined by another family shortly after. Then a waiter in a flowery waistcoat appeared and offered to seat the other family to which the lady kindly stated that we were there first. The waiter then said I can seat u both…. So shortly after being seat our order was taken, we chose the 3 courses for £25.90? Something like that and a main of the kids for my fiancées 6 yr old son. It took ages for our mains to arrive tho thankfully they were worth the wait. After that we got no service at all being constantly ignored even tho the place was fairly empty. No one came to ask if our food was ok nor clear the table. There was loads of staff more interested in setting tables for customers that didn’t exist 🤷🏼‍♀️ blatantly ignoring us yet they seemed to tend to everyone else around us? Eventually my fiancée had enough and had to go ask for a dessert menu as his son was getting restless ( couldn’t blame him) and we were getting so angry at being blatantly ignored. 20 minutes later a female waitress came and took our dessert order. Again waiting ages for it! Tho it was delicious. After finishing them we just want to get out of there as we felt rather disgruntled. We asked the waiter for the bill and lo and behold it was wrong not giving us the meal deal. So when we got to the pay point I mentioned it was wrong to the flowery waiter, and he did agree it wasn’t put through right. Absolutely diabolical. There was a party of 10 of us for a Xmas night out. We waited 2 hours to get served the first course. We were the only people there . I am not surprised. After we were served the soup we had to get up and go to the bar to ask for cutlery.after finishing the soup we all Sat waiting for half an hour. Nobody came near us. Again we had to go to bar to ask if plates could be cleared and next course served. We waited an hour to get next course. Again we had to go and hunt for cutlery. The food was also terrible packet salty soup followed by frozen microwave meal. Said it was turkey and ham I never got any ham. It was a very thin slice of turkey roll that was stuffed with packet sage and onion stuffing. There were 2 halves of aunt bessies frozen roast potato one mushy watery frozen sprout tasteless frozen carrot buttons and parsnip. We sat again for ages and had to ask for them to remove plates and take sweet order. Dessert was a trio of frozen packet tasteless delights.guess what we had to hunt for cutlery again. The whole time we were the only people there we saw lots of staff hanging about but never came near us and kept vanishing. I was never asked if I wanted anything to drink I never received my soup thankfully after seeing what it looked like. We arrived at 7 and didn't get finished to 12 that's a total of 5 hours to receive dinner in an empty restaurant.
