Belle Vue Guest House — Hotel in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

We stayed here for 2 nights with a wedding party, as the wedding was nearby at The Red Barn. As there was quite a few of us we had the whole place booked up! The building is beautiful and you can see the care and detail that has been put into decorating the house and all the individual rooms. Our room was The Ely, which was a great size for 3 of us Bridesmaids. I had a look round all the other rooms too and they are all gorgeous. Lovely comfy beds, great decor, large sized ensuite bathrooms with rain shower and good tea & coffee (and hot chocolate) with proper mugs instead of tiny cups. Breakfast each day was fantastic, and no request was too much trouble. On the day of the wedding the staff kindly took our champagne and had kept it cold for us to have with our breakfast mimosas and provided champagne flutes. I had eggs Benedict the first morning, the eggs were perfect! The pastries were lovely as were the granola pots and tea and coffee was plentiful. Staying here made any stress for the big day diminish as we had such a good stay and could easily get to each other if we needed anything. This was our second stay at the guest house and we also took an additional room for our son. We had initially planned to take the Sandringham bedroom that we stayed in during the previous visit, and our son the Nelson room downstairs. However, Martyn suggested we take a look at the Nelson first and we loved it. The Nelson is a bit larger than the Sandringham which is upstairs but we actually preferred it. ||The guest house is lovely and clean, the beds really comfortable, well maintained and the breakfast option is well worth adding, with plenty of choice, nice quality produce and good service. You pre order the evening before and it’s all very prompt. ||There is onsite parking at the rear as well as nice quality outside seating as an option. There is also an honesty bar if you require. The pub across the road is also option with a garden as well. ||We are already booked to return again later in the year but to take the Cottage instead which looks great. My husband & I stayed for a weekend in September with our then 2 month daughter. We can't fault it! Beautiful place, great location, style and thoughtful service. We wish they could decorate our place! A few details: Friendly welcome. We were given a large room with plenty of space for our baby and all the gear (!) and a cot bed (provided) which was all considered by the owner at point of booking We had a lovely showeroom in our room but since our daughter was only large enough for shallow baths the owners happily let us use an alternative bathroom with a roll top bath. So our baby night time routine was uninterrupted. Perfect! Very comfortable bed and bedding Delicious breakfast, great selection, wonderful presentation. We enjoyed learning about the impressive transformation of the place that the owners have achieved since acquiring it in 2017 They provide useful recommendations about the area and local eateries. I left an item in our room, again not a problem, it was posted back to me within days In summary: if only all B&B choices were this easy....
