Stayed here with family for the new year. If you’re looking for a place to go with a Lukewarm tub (hot Tub). Where the heating is ether the fires of Mordor or the land of the ice giants. Some radiator’s work some not so much. Where the water pressure is so low that it takes 25 mins to run a Luke warn bath. I watched as kettles or watter were added to add the the tem of the bath.Where one shower has no pressure and another in high pressure. I have no idea how it is possible to have no hot water for a bath but the heating so hot. This is just the place to come. Left feeling disappointed by this lodge. Our stay was hit by the rainy weather, but we still went walking this weather was not to dampen the holiday. But returning for a walk and trying to shower or bath in poory maintained showers or baths just is not good enough. There is nowhere to put the contents of a suitcase so live out them for our stay. Beds are as comfortable as a futon. It's good to see the play area in use for the kids a good idea there. I think they are trying to be environmentally friendly, but at the cost of basic comforts. Nice thought on the locked gate. You have to get out of the car type in the pass code a 5 year old can work out. Why spend the money on a self opening gate that you have to open by standing next to it?. For a few £££ more it would have been a easy fix. Place looks nice, but in need of a makeover as the furniture looks past it best. The site looks to still having work done to it. All in all, I was left feeling the lodge could have been better as I have booked quite a few in the UK, and this lodge was shown to be lacking. But with that, I can see the great effort the owner is putting in to make this place work.

Just returned from a weeks holiday at Box Tree. We had 2 lodges and couldn’t speak more highly of them. Kids loved the hot tubs, park and morning feeding of the horses. All in all it was a fantastic break and Ian couldn’t have been more helpful. The location is pretty rural, but great pub within a 15 minute walk and the nearest town (2.5 miles) had everything you could want.

Booked a family holiday to box tree escapes to find the site nothing like advertised. It’s a field full of rubbish from old pods with 4 lodges on. The lodges ‘look’ really nice, but are only suitable to look at! Our door would not lock, the bath would not hold water, the jets did not work on hot tub, the door handle fell off, the springs were poking through the childrens beds, the bbq was filthy, no signal on tv, one of the showers didn’t work (just as well because the shower tray had brown gunk around it) and there is no wardrobes or draws to unpack. Owner not interested at all and even ignored my email. Apart from...

Amazing luxury lodge, very spacious and beautifully furnished. Who wouldn’t enjoy time in the hot tub as the sun goes down and kids roasting marsh mallows on the fire under the stars at night. The lodges are modern, clean, warm with everything you need for a few nights away. The views up the hill are of beautiful countryside and it is a short drive to the quaint towns of Kirkby Lonsdale and Ingleton. The lodges are perfect for family groups and friends as the open living provides a large space to gather and most bedrooms have en-suites. A great base to chill and relax or enjoy the different activities that the...
