The hosts are so lovely, welcoming and friendly, we actually felt like we were staying with family. The house is beautiful, exactly the house we would love to live in! The bed was super comfy, huge bath with a shower, we had a stunning view, kettle, tea and coffee, biscuits, fresh milk in the fridge on the landing, wine glasses and bottle opener in the room, little corner rail to hang clothes, adjustable radiator. TV on wall with plenty of channels. Book shelf with a selection of books.|We ordered breakfast the night before, there is porridge, fresh farm eggs cooked how you like them, bacon, sausage, black pudding, fried bread, beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, cereals, fresh fruit, muesli, toast, fresh home made bread, home made marmalade, jams - all of this is beautifully presented, in the conservatory with a log burner with stunning views, sheep, birds of all types feeding on the wall, fresh coffee, tea and juices. I loved reading the file in the room all about Sally's parents, such interesting lives! Simon showed us some other walks on a map that are local (we had been to Ingleton Falls). |We had lovely burgers at The Plough in Galgate which is about 4 miles away, can recommend that and very reasonable prices on food and drinks.|Thank you Sally and Simon you do a wonderful job and are such lovely hosts, hopefully see...
Read moreAbsolutely delightful stay at Green Bank Farmhouse! From the moment we arrived on Friday until we left on Monday, Simon and Sally, the charming owners, made our stay exceptionally memorable. Their warm hospitality was evident as they prepared delicious breakfasts each morning, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The farmhouse itself is a gem - immaculate, clean, and modern, providing a serene and peaceful retreat. The view from our window was simply breath-taking, overlooking the beautiful farmland and majestic mountains. It truly felt like a slice of paradise. Our stay was perfectly timed for a visit to Lancaster University to see our daughter, and the location couldn't have been more convenient. Being from Singapore and living in the UK, I've experienced various accommodations, but Green Bank Farmhouse stands out as the best farm stay I've had in the UK. My husband, originally from the UK, also agrees it's a top-notch choice. If you're looking for tranquillity, stunning views, and personal touches that make you feel at home, look no further. Simon and Sally's farmhouse is the perfect getaway. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle while enjoying the beauty...
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gem of a B&B! My fella and I stayed for two nights whilst attending a wedding locally. Can't fault our room at all, lovely big comfy bed, beautiful bathroom with 'his n' her's sinks', attractive decor with original artwork everywhere. Our room had a wonderful view of bird feeders out front and we were lucky to see a woodpecker feeding! If you love wildlife this is the place!|| There were fantastic views of the surrounding countryside while we enjoyed the delicious cooked breakfast in the conservatory. If you prefer cereal and fruit juice there's an attractively presented rustic pine dresser with a wide choice and extra luxury nuts and fruit.|| Sally and Simon go above and beyond; during my stay I discovered to my great dismay that the earrings to the new matching jewellery set I intended to wear for the wedding had useless loose backs. Sally saved the day by loaning me some proper butterfly backs. A small thing I know but I'd have been heartbroken not to be able to wear them to match my dress. ||I highly recommend...
