Just spent 4 nights at Malvern Hills caravan club site, its a great site. The access is easy, well signposted and the site is right next door to Blackmore camping and caravan site. ||The wardens were very welcoming and extremely helpful, they got us out of a real fix without hesitation. ||The facilities are well kept and the wardens are always around the site cleaning and tidying up. Given the recent weather the wardens are working hard to keep the extensive grounds looking nice. The hours free WiFi worked really well, you are allowed 5 hours in total. ||Pizza van on a Friday evening on the caravan club site and fish and chips on a Friday on the other site. ||A 20/25 minute walk up the road (Hanley Swan) there is a really nice pub that serves great food, and just across the road from the pub there is a very good convenience store. ||There is now a dial a ride service you can use to get to Malvern and the surrounding area, its amazing, you have to download the App but its fairly easy. Select your pick up time and destination, they text an hour before with the exact arrival time and you can track the vehicle as it heads towards picking you up. ||Malvern is a nice town, with some nice shops and places to eat. There are the Malvern hills for walkers. There is a particularly nice coffee/deli called Faun in Malvern, the most amazing pastries. ||The only down side was a rookie error on our part, we found a pitch in the sun but without realising very close to one of the shower blocks, we had stream of folk walk right through our pitch to get to the showers, just a couple of feet from out...
Read moreA very pleasant site clean and tidy well maintained the staff were friendly and helpful, excellent dog walk provided. The downside is lack of phone and internet connection. We would have given this a 4/5 but for a very strange incident when returning from a trip outside of the camp. While driving back inside the campsite a strange character waving his arms around (Possibly a bird impression) wandered in front of our van he was very unkempt to the point of scruffy. We continued to our pitch a considerable distance from this where the Man had performed his hand waving. Now we could only assume that his intention was to slow us down but if we had driven any slower we would have been in reverse. This weird character followed us down to our pitch and proceeded to enter the dog walking area. We could see him lurking behind a tree watching us he then came out of the woods and as he walked past us he told us he wasn’t a Traffic warden but he was a Manager but not a manager on this site. This was very strange and unnerving as I said before he was a very scruffy Man. Certainly not dressed like a manager he wasn’t in uniform neither did he appear to have any identification. As it was raining heavily when he left we decided not to report this but to leave early not staying the night that we...
Read moreSpent three nights here over the bank holiday weekend. It was very peaceful on the last night (Monday) after many campers had left that day. The rest of the weekend it felt very busy and full which was to be expected, however it did feel like they had tried to cram in as many pitches as possible. Prices were quite high when comparing to the Camping and Caravan Club which also has a site next door. The site is perfectly located for the Malvern Hills with great views from all round the site, good shower facilities in two large blocks, and lovely dedicated friendly staff. Just a shame there were so many dogs on the site and having to constantly watch out for poo, with our other family members actually having to ask wardens to remove some from in front of their van before they could pitch up. When searching for sites in the app/online it would be good if the search criteria allowed you to select sites with no dogs allowed, in addition to the option for dog friendly sites. It would also be a real plus point if the club would allow you to pre-book adjacent pitches when travelling with family/friends in another unit. Would stay again but probably for a midweek break when...
