We booked riverside cottage early in the year for a 4 day break in september. On ringing to book I was asked if I had paid full price through buyagift I replied in the affirmative and was told this was fine £198_00 for 4nights.We received a very vague receipt through the post.On arrival on the 2nd September we were very politely asked if we could make ourselves scarce for 20 minutes so he could show a long term client round we said no problem. As we unpacked we noticed the bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied and it stayed like this for all our 4days.He's calling it a hotel but we had no bed made and no clean towels. On leaving he said we need him £50 excess we asked why and he said he didn't get enough back from b.a.g we paid him and said we would take it up with b.a.g On arriving. home we did and they said we should not have been charged any extra. They took it up the behalf and we have just got a £50 refund this week.We will definitely use buy a gift again but not riverside...
Read moreWe very much enjoyed our one night stay here. It is in the middle of the countryside and the drive to it was glorious on a summery evening with the fields being harvested. |The cottage is gorgeous and we were very pleased to have such a lovely room with a huge bed, a roll top bath and a fan if needed. It has lovely grounds too with beautiful flower beds, fruit trees and even a pool. We couldn’t get wifi in our bedroom but it was available downstairs so wasn’t a problem.|Breakfast was just what we wanted; we’ve had bigger ones at other places we’ve stayed but it was fine for us and the coffee was good too. You can make hot drinks in your room too - one suggestion would be to make the individual milk cartons semi skimmed rather than full fat milk? |For what you pay this is fantastic value and we were very pleased to have found it. There are some lovely footpaths to explore around the village and next time we’ll try the...
Read moreWe booked in for a 2 day break in September 2019 and had an amazing time. The host Chris was very welcoming and showed us to our room. It had its own Kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedroom. The grounds were idylic with apple trees, pear trees, victoria plum trees, plenty of seating to take in the beautiful scenery. The outside canopy was draped with real grapes and passion flowers. Chris was so informative on the surrounding area, an Army Helicopter base, Needham Market and Lakes to name but a few. It was such a peaceful lovely 2days and I highly recommend staying here, I must add the cooked breakfast we had with fresh coffee and tea was a perfect way to...
