Liked: Amazing glamping site - they’ve really thought of everything. We literally just brought ourselves and clothes- no need for any of the usual camping paraphernalia which was ideal for us as on a long drive from Scotland. The outdoor kitchen even stayed dry enough for us to cook dinner in a rain storm and the play barn was an ideal place to stay dry and eat it! The tent itself is spacious, clean and comfy beds. This place is fabulous for kids- again they’ve really thought of everything- outdoor toys and mud kitchen, huge range of indoor games in the play barn. Then the animals are another bonus- Guinea pigs, cats and calves to befriend. It’s a short drive to Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Also just a 10 min walk to nearby village with a shop and play park. It’s a lovely quiet site with just 3 tents. I loved that cars cannot come into the camping field so kids can just run free safely within the camping...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Cheglinch Farm Glamping in July 2018. Everything is perfect - the tents are comfortable and very cosy, the kitchen is delightful to cook in and has everything you need, the shower rooms are clean and unlike some camping facilities, you can have a really good shower, the eco-toilet was clean and despite it being extremely hot, never smelt. Ella, the host, is delightful and made us feel very welcome and relaxed throughout. Our little girl (15 months) loved toddling around the field, playing in the sandpit and exploring the mud-kitchen, as well as talking to the chickens and guinea pigs and finding all the books and balls in the playbarn. This was our first camping experience with our daughter and although we were a little apprehensive about what it would be like, all had a very happy and relaxed stay. We wish Cheglinch Farm Glamping all the very best for the future and look forward...
Read moreWe stayed at Cheglinch Farm Glamping this weekend with a group of friends. The site was absolutely beautiful. A perfect balance between being neat and tidy without being character-less. We booked all three yurts, but I loved that each tent had its own toilet, kitchen and shower so although the yurts were all close together it still felt very private. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything you would need to cook and prepare food. The shower and toilet facilities were modern and well kept.
Although it was very cold this weekend, Ella had gone to great lengths to make sure we were as warm as possible with additional blankets and hot water bottles. Being able to collect eggs from the hens each morning was a fabulous bonus!
Thank you Cheglinch for a fantastic first...
