Ettiford Farm Cottages — Hotel in North Devon

Stayed here for a week in July with my wife and two children under 6. We stayed in Oak Cottage which was well appointed and very spacious. Cottages are located about 10-15 mins from Woolacombe and Ilfracombe.||||Only minor criticisms - the games room was a bit half baked. There was table football and a few board games and DVDs/BRs but you had to pay 50p to use the pool table which i thought was more than a bit cheeky considering the cost to stay at the accommodation. Also, the wi-fi connection was poor at best. We actually went three days without any signal at all which was put down to an issue with the provider but connection barely improved once fixed. Kitchen was pretty well equiped but we had to buy a frying pan as the one provided was tiny!||||Minor issues. It is a lovely place to stay, especially if you want to be out in the country and away...

Excellent modern barn conversion (Holly Cottage) in a location that has lots of local attractions and beaches within a 30 minute drive. Woolacombe was only 15mins away. Would have got 5 stars but if you need a phone signal or internet then be aware that we couldn't get a signal on either O2 or Vodaphone networks (we knew this before we travelled). WiFi was also incredibly unreliable dropping in and out all the time and with max speed of 1.8mbps. The owners were helpful but we couldn't use games room as it was shut due to COVID which we werent made aware of at time of booking so do ask before you book. We would stay again though as was nice to have a break from constant emails...
