Beautifully decorated and well equipped little cottage and lovely area. Nice and clean and lovely outlook. Little garden ideal for dog. We were disappointed by the service received. After being reassured we could text or call at any moment for any problems. We were disturbed throughout the night until 2am by excessive shouting from the adjoining property. After texting the next morning received no reply, followed up with an email a few hours later and a further text to the second number provided a few hours after that. Finally got a reply, 11 hours later, asking if they wanted us to do something, we said yes but neighbours were out and they were unable to reach them. In the end we were asked to speak to neighbours again ourselves if noise became a problem. Such a shame we didn’t get a good nights sleep. We appreciate the noise wasn’t the fault of the estate. It would’ve been nice to have a reassuring and prompt reply that they were dealing with this and a more proactive reaction. I would not recommend staying in Franknel or Nijinsky unless you are booking them as one party as they are joined by normal internal doors and sound travels. We have stayed in this beautiful house many times over the years. The house is always spotless and well equipped. It has been refurbished since we last stayed and the bedrooms are lovely. The beds are sooooooo comfy. There was a welcome pack with milk, bread and local goodies. We went in the pool everyday, which again was spotless and warm. You have to book a slot to swim but a space was always available and it meant that you had the pool to yourselves. We have played tennis on the courts, again top notch, not us , the courts😂. There are plenty of walks around the estate. We saw deer, hares, foxes , red kites and hundreds of pheasants. The night sky is spectacular on clear nights. Holt is a mile away , great for shopping. Having recently enjoyed a long weekend to celebrate our daughter's 60th birthday the property is of more than ample size to accommodate eight adults and two dogs.
The living area is enormous and split into two distinct areas plus a secluded courtyard.
The pool table is a nice addition, the tennis courts are a bonus and in pristine condition.
The kitchen area is of ample size and really well appointed making for easy food prep.
For the birthday evening we used the private chef and waiter that Kelling offer and this was a huge success. Harry the chef is a master of his art and served up delicious attractive food with generous portions, whilst Mateusz tended to our needs expertly throughout the evening.
