Welcoming check in by Victoria! She was so friendly, accommodating and showed us to our room! We had a gorgeous view over the gardens! The room itself was beautifully furnished for our weekend stay for our anniversary, it felt very luxurious with some great extra touches! We loved the welcome biscuit and tea and coffee station in our room. We tried to use all the facilities Longridge House offers - with getting a drink from the main bar and enjoying them outside pre-dinner. To then dining in the restaurant and breakfast the next day. The food was outstanding along with the service from the staff. We felt very comfortable and looked after. We cannot wait to come again, already wanting to book a girls trip! Thank you so much to all the staff at Longridge House!

What a lovely stay! We absolutely loved the hotel. The interior has been finished to an extremely high standard and we loved the decor! You can tell a lot of effort has been put into this place. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with lovely finishing touches. The food was exceptional. We had an evening meal and breakfast. All delicious but the overall winner was the bread and butter pudding… wow! Just to note, we also travelled with our 5 month old baby. The staff were all so lovely with her and made us feel really comfortable for our entire stay. We will be back!

Five stars for every aspect of Longridge House, from the wonderful staff to the magnificent building and attention to detail of the rooms. We throughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Longridge House for both accommodation and dining. A special thanks to the fantastic James and Victoria and the rest of the Longridge team for their hospitality and attentiveness.

I know this hotel only opened on the 9th August but it really should have been completed before charging £185 for one night D, B and B. There is no reception here and that can lead to people having to wait around for someone to see them. This is not a professional way of dealing with guests. Victoria, who helped us was lovely, kind and helpful. However, the first room that we were shown to was like going into a Hobbit house. I am 5' 1" tall and I felt that I could touch the ceiling in the bedroom. It was dark and claustrophobic. There was just room to walk around the bed and the window was very small and above the headboard. A beautiful walk in shower room. We requested a change and the second room, 13, was much better although it didn't have a walk in shower. Again the room was dark and the lighting wasn't very good. The bed was large and not very comfortable. The pillows were the fattest I have ever come across and neither of us could use them. We had to use the cushions for pillows. The duvet was the heaviest winter duvet ever. That went on the floor and we had to use the throw as a thin blanket. A choice of pillows and duvet are a must for any establishment and especially for one that is supposed to be as special as this one. The tea tray looked lovely. The special tea and coffee were delicious once you managed to open the packets. Friends who stayed couldn't make a drink because they couldn't open the packets. Also, they had a beautiful kettle but couldn't get it underneath the tap to fill it up so we they had to fill the kettle using a mug. The mugs looked so good but they are an accident just waiting to happen. Mugs and cups need handles the mugs were far too hot to pick up. It appears to be glamour and looks before safety. The worst thing about the bedroom was the green light over the bedroom door. I can only assume that this is an emergency exit light but it was so bright that I could practically read by it when all the rest of the lights were off. I had already had to put the radio to the back of the shelf upside down and back to front because of the LED lights on it. To say that we had a dreadful night is an understatement. Now the food - this was exceptional from dinner and then breakfast. Excellent quality, plenty of choice, well cooked and a good plate full. The staff here are tremendous helpful, kind, considerate and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for Victoria and her colleagues they are the perfect example of how staff in hospitality should be with their guests and I would like to say thank you for looking after us in, what must be challenging circumstances with the hotel not being fully...

On arrival it was a little strange in that there wasn't a reception desk or any receptionist. A male member of staff located a lovely lady, Victoria, who quickly gave us our room key, to room 4, I think it was. Our initial opinion of the room was that it was for a Hobbit! It was downstairs and when we entered it was small, dark and claustrophobic. The ceiling was very low, I am only 5' 1" tall (short) and it felt as though the ceiling was only just above my head. In the room there was only just enough room to get around the bed and there wasn't even 1 chair to sit on! We found Victoria and asked for a different room. After a few moments she came back and then showed me another room, room 13, this was much larger and brighter. Victoria was brilliant forever helpful, happy, smiling and welcoming. I must add all of the staff are charming and helpful. What a happy bunch of staff you have.| I do have some further comments regarding facilities. These are not complaints but I feel that they need pointing out, if you are not told of issues then you can't rectify them. In room 13:|There is a small green light, I assume an emergency exit light, that is only small but the glare from it lit up the room all night. I could nearly read with it. This was also an issue in room 19 where they also had a light flashing on and off all night and when it was mentioned to a member of staff the person asked if it was room 19 before my friend actually said it! There are no make up or full length mirrors in the bedroom. The handleless mugs for tea and coffee are an accident waiting to happen. The quirky little kettle was loved by some of our group but not others because they couldn't fit it underneath the tap to fill it. Aesthetics over safety is not a good option. No bin in the bedroom for empty tea/coffee packets. Only 3 hangers in the wardrobe for 2 people with no other hanging areas for coats etc. Nowhere at all in the bathroom for your soap bag, toothpaste etc. only the floor which is not hygienic.|Having said that I must say, yes, the place has many areas that need finishing off nails sticking out of the stairs, painting etc but it will be lovely when completely finished.|A proper mention for the chef and his staff. The food was delicious for both dinner and breakfast. Excellent quality and beautifully cooked. Well done to you all...

We booked an afternoon tea buffet for a family gathering for my daughters 16th birthday. Longridge House had only been officially opened approx two weeks. There were around 40 adults and 15 children and we had the drawing room for the afternoon. We couldn't fault a thing, right from our initial enquiry we were dealt with professionally and efficiently. We were given menu options and costs to suit a variety of budgets. On the day of the party we were welcomed by the area manager Alex, as well as Alex the supervisor who was so friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Our guest with a nut allergy was particularly appreciative of the care provided by Alex the area manager who ensured his food was prepared and served safely and separately to the main buffet. We were primarily looked after by the lovely Katherine, she was fantastic with all our guests including the children. Katherine was so attentive and many of our guests commented on how lovely and helpfull she had been throughout the afternoon. Katherine went above and beyond by finding us some candles ( I forgot them!) and bringing in the birthday cake to a packed room of guests so we could sing happy birthday and present it to the birthday girl. Katherine was fantastic. The afternoon tea buffet was absolutely delicious. All our guests commented on the standard of both the savoury and the sweet food, everyone left full and some even took a little box of goodies home. The children loved the kids buffet options too, from toddlers to teens they all ate well. Due to the glorious weather, our guests were also able to explore and sit in the beautifully updated gardens, having held our wedding reception at the previously named 'Ferraris' exactly 12 months earlier we were able to appreciate the amazing changes that have been made inside and outside the venue. We were very impressed and we can't wait to go back and try the Sunday Roasts which looked and smelt amazing! Finally, we wanted to mention the lovely bar man Alistair. Alistair was so friendly, helpful and relaxed with our guests. Alistair knew what he was doing and was able to reccomend certain drinks based on guest preferences. Overall, we loved everything about our afternoon at Longridge House, we can't wait to return and would highly reccomend to others. We would definitely give...
