Honored to add the first review for this beautiful property. Johnnie and Mairi are wonderful hosts. They met us at the start of our stay and gave us the grand tour. The house is beautiful and spacious. The view from the living room is unbeatable. There was plenty of room to sleep our group of 6. All of the fixtures and amenities are up to date, beautiful, and on par with what one would expect from high level vacation accommodations. The location worked very well for us. There are majestic views, a museum, and the ocean, all short walk away from the property. If you’re up for a short drive, you can easily get to many hiking trails, pubs, shops in Portree, beaches, kilt rock, and other popular tourist locations. With friendly locals, roaming sheep, highland cows, breathtaking Scottish landscapes, accommodating hosts, and plush accommodations, I can’t imagine a better place for our group to set up shop while visiting the Isle of Skye. Such a special place to spend New Year. Deceptively spacious, I was particularly pleased with the boot room for kicking off muddy boots and cleaning clothes after a day exploring Skye. Super easy access to Fairy Pools, Portree and Uig where we enjoyed lots of lovely walks and great food. The cottage has the most exceptional views and waking up to that daily was enough BUT the comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and home from home comforts just made me want to stay longer. What a beautiful cottage with a breathtaking view!! The photos do not do this cottage the justice it deserves - the rooms are huge, there are three toilets, and a boot room for taking shoes off at the end of a long day. Take a stroll into the garden with a coffee or a glass of wine, and there is no noise whatsoever aside from the gentle rhythm of nature. We were greeted with fresh flowers dotted around the house as well as a bottle of wine, and 6 gin & tonics - one for each guest!
