Not fit for purpose unfortunately.

First off, the positives. The hosts are really friendly and welcoming and the view of the loch from the room is nice.

However, there are some pretty big flaws in this place in my opinion.

The largest problem is that the walls are paper thin. You can hear people talking, opening drawers, going to the toilet, closing doors etc. If you want to get to sleep before somebody in another room who stays up, good luck. If someone in another room gets up early and wakes you up with their noise, you're not getting back to sleep. This is the main reason why I would not stay here again and why you should think twice about staying here. Just check the other reviews, they'll corroborate.

Then there's the hallway light which is always on. This means the door to your room has an orange glow all night. This is really annoying when you notice it after being prevented from sleeping due to the noise.

The room itself also needs a few improvements. There's only one plug by each bedside table that is used for the lamps, which makes charging things difficult. I'd suggest that the owners get USB sockets. The room is also really small. People who come here are probably going to have big suitcases, and if you do, you find yourself tripping up over your things. The mirror is also not over the very little desk, which made it annoying for my girlfriend to get ready in the morning.

Lastly the hot breakfast wasn't anything to write home about. Sausages looked and tastes like walls freezer sausages and not something of...

One of the most relaxing and beautiful places I've stopped.

Rooms: They're spacious well equipped and the beds are outrageously comfortable. We didn't get a loch view room so I can only imagine how amazing they are. That being said our rear facing room still had amazing views with a lovely Brook going through the rear garden which was lovely to go to sleep listening too.

Service: The two hosts are the nicest people ever who will bend over backwards to help you. I've never seen such hardworking people who are there to help at all hours. I don't know how they do it. Breakfast is ace and the continental breakfast is really nice.

Location: Perfectly located for getting around the whole island. Not far from the fairy Glen's and the North part of the island. Loved it there. The loch is beautiful...

This guest house has rave reviews and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I was with a group so maybe that explains why we never saw the "friendly" hosts? My room was tiny, twin beds with a foot between them, one crammed against a radiator that, luckily, I didn't need to use. A view of a driveway. When one of our group got very ill, and had to arrive by taxi a day after the rest of us, there was no one there to greet her or tell her which room was hers. She finally saw a woman who brusquely told her "I'm only doing laundry" and didn't assist. Unacceptable, I'm sorry. Breakfast was average. And the first place I've stayed on multiple continents with no shaver outlet in the bathroom. Yes, the location is lovely and living room is pretty, but...

Lovely guest house half way between Portree & Uig. We had a cosy room with a balcony overlooking Loch Eyre, absolutely gorgeous. The room was equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer, flat screen TV, little desk area and an en suite. Exceptionally clean. Ample car parking. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly, explaining where all the best places to eat or explore were. Breakfast was optional but well worth having. It was a buffet with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, various juices and coffee. Then you could have a cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. They were especially accommodating for me a vegetarian. All in all a great base to explore the beautiful Isle of Skye.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. The staff was amazingly friendly and had great tips for some good places to eat. The breakfast was fantastic, the best I ever had in an guest house/hotel. Everything was made freshly and they even offered us, if we would've bought square sausages, to prepare them for us, which was very kind, but since we didn't knew, tough luck for us. The room was clean and very nice. But the most amazing place, was the small seating are with an amazing front view to the Loch. Best view ever to just sit with a nice Glas of wine and some friends/family members to just talk and enjoy the evening.

We stayed at Loch Eyre House for one night in room 7 with twin beds. The room was a little small but perfectly comfortable for one night. The bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom. Both the bathroom and bedroom were nice and clean. Our beds sunk a little and were a bit soft but that’s a personal preference. My favourite part of this B&B was the shared living space which was super cosy and the windows looked out at the Loch! The breakfast was also great. We had the full hot breakfast which was lovely!
