We had the great opportunity to be the first visitors to The Mint Croft May/June 2024! The new owners, James and Carolina, were warm and available hosts and have created an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable rental property on the gorgeous Waternish peninsula. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking of all kinds and the art work and ceramics that decorate the spaces are neutral yet inspirational. We especially loved the maps! We have booked again for next year and are telling our friends to do the same! The cottage works well for two couples and offers a lot of privacy. You won't regret it! It's absolutely beautiful, cozy, charming and every detail is thought through. The perfect match to the beautiful sights you will see around the island. We stayed at the blackhouse for 3 nights and although it's far from the main tourist spots, it's the perfect excuse to wander around the island and have the chance to see and explore areas you otherwise wouldn't. The first night we arrived it was pretty foggy and there wasn't much visibility, but the next days we had a beautiful view of the lake from our room. Our stay at Mint Croft was truly an extraordinary escape! The landscape and sea views were breathtaking, keeping the blinds open to see the morning break over the sea was an absolute highlight. The standard of the facilities was above 5 Star and the interior was beautifully designed and curated. You could stay inside Mint Croft for days as it was so comfortable. The property was spotlessly clean with a stunning homely kitchen which included high spec homeware & kitchen utensils. All our needs were met from an array of fabulous books , magazines and a smart TV. Our stay went beyond our expectations and we are looking forward to booking again...
