Prince of Wales Hotel — Hotel in Stroud

This was a last minute booking as was left stranded in the area due to work. The hotel has recently been fully renovated and looks very contemporary and comfortable. Rooms are clean and well appointed with comfortable bed and nice pillows. As I was an unexpected guest I had no plugs to charge my phones though the receptionist was very helpful. Very good value bar and comfortable lounging area adjacent to it. Big grand opening in a few days. Only complaint I have is that all hotels these days including this one should have at least one double socket with a usbc and usb socket. Travellers take leads as they can be used in cars we don’t take the plugs as well. All-in-all a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The very nice receptionist also mentioned that it’s being used by visitors to a certain famous farm shop and pub near Chipping Norton due to its proximity. Will definitely keep that in mind for...

Nice Hotel, well laid out with a good selection of bedrooms and areas to relax in. Meals provided are varied each evening with an excellent breakfast which sets you up for the day you can't go wrong. You are made welcome by the staff who are very helpful. A bit disappointed on arriving on a Friday that no entertainment was programmed but it was made up for on the Saturday night by the entertainer Simon and all round singer whose repertoire was second to none, he was excellent and could take off many singers in your Tribute Weekends. Had a lovely stay here last Saturday. Myself and my sister shared a twin room which was very clean, beds were comfy and it was very quiet so had a peaceful night's sleep. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall the building looked clean and inviting (I believe it's just been refurbished). Only thing we couldn't find was a hairdryer, not sure if they have on request but luckily we didn't need use of one anyway so it wasn't a negative for us. Good price. Would definitely come back...
