Me and my partner stayed here the other week and initially we thought it looked fantastic. First night there we discovered the large bedroom was infested with moths (the floor was crawling with them) so had to get the cleaner in the next day and I pointed them out to her. Also I mentioned the bathroom bin was still full from previous tenants, aswel as other bits found on the floor (broken zip and bubble wrap) also trainers left in the draws. I then found out from hoseasons all this was denied and they saw no dead moths and that the bin had already been emptied. They wouldn't off seen many purely because I spent 30 minutes removing as many as I could myself. The same day we was informed the hot tub water was cloudy and had to be treated, so it was but did not work. It was them emptied the following day. This did not warm up enough until the day before we left (Thursday morning) We asked kindly we get a small amount refunded due to not having the facilities we paid for (hot tub/clean lodge) but was refused. All in all the area was lovely, but disgusted with the outcome. We was in lodge 3, 27th June - 1st July

We had a good time here as a group but we would have wanted it in better shape Good: Location (though was a hard turning to spot & limited signage), bed number, basic amenities & hot tub + dog friendly Needs improvement: Maintenance in general, including: back door did not lock (hollow where locking mechanism should be), hot tub cover + buttons broken, some mould/rust in bathrooms, limited cleaning supplies (3 toilet rolls for 5 people over 2.5 days & 1 handwash for 2 bathrooms), maintenance number didn't work 24/7 (tried at 5pm Sunday, leaving us sieving out styrofoam from hot tub), small rubbish from previous tenants (inc. a shirt, hair, toy in sofa, half eaten sweet & sanitary product), uncomfortable dip in one of the beds & pictures did not 100% match property - I.e. kitchen island, space behind property to walk dog, etc. A decent location that would be all the better with more love and care

Was one of the best holidays that I have taken my daughter too. The lodge was blocked away by trees meaning I could let me daughter out of the lodge without having to worry about cars and other people. The added swing bench and hotub was a bonus. A big thank you to the ground keeper who made sure all our problems were dealt with as soon as they received our messages and also for giving us alot of tips on what to do for the week. The lodge itself is absolutely stunning. A few tips, the fridge freezer is very small and so a few lots of shopping trips will be needed during your stay, there may be a small amount of ants (as per nature) but a few given ant traps solved thst problem. And just a heads up, the roads leading up to the lodge are the small country one lane roads which I was nervous about bit towards the end, it was fine. We are defiently coming back next year.

I stayed here in lodge 2 for 3 nights last wknd with 2 friends. The lodges are situated in a beautiful position overlooking open fields each one is strategically placed so that the hot tub and decking is secluded....just lovely, the whole time we could hear skylarks , it was just beautiful. HOWEVER, unfortunately the owners don't seem to know what a gem they have and fail to look after it accordingly. There was toilet cleaner used but toilet clearly not cleaned as there was spatter on the rim.....! There was dirt all around base of shower and the wash basin clearly hadn't been cleaned. There was pubic hair in various places. The bath mat and pedestal mat didn't look clean, and the hand towel...well I was unsure, I chose not to use any of it. There was no hand soap supplied in the bathroom either. I was in the double room, and my bed looked as though it had been slept in, it was full of black bits and there was a bodily fluid stain. Fortunately I'd taken my own bedding!

Everywhere felt grimey. There were nasty stains on the carpets. Dust on rarely used places. Cobwebs on the ceilings and food and crumbs in the cutlery drawer. There was an overpowering smell of some kind of chemical perfume that hit you when we first walked in. Dirty marks on walls and cupboard doors. One of the 2 supplied teatowels had food stuck to it. The Lodge was ill equipped to support 4 people let alone 6. Only 3 cereal bowls, not enough wine glasses and all mismatched. The cutlery was cheap and nasty, with wobbly handles. There was a vape found under the mattress in the twin room and a long black hair on the bath in the family bathroom ( the cleaner hastened to add it wasn't hers)!!! The decking was in need of an overhaul too. There was a dried dog poo left on the decking and a raised rusty nail which stayed there the whole wknd. It didn't appear that the hot tub had been emptied from the previous occupants it very quickly became scummy and the fist night of use, we could see stuff in the water. When we complained by phone, the on site cleaner and husband arrived . When showed the dog poo he kicked it off the deck. The nail? It stayed there....I wonder if it's still there now!!! The wife 'cleaned ' the spatter pulled the flush and squirt more bleach around. There was still spatter left there. She told us she would clean the place that night but we refused, it should have already been done and we didn't want anyone in there either that night or the next day while...

2 out of 5 but could be a 2.5. We noticed that the cleaning wasn't fantastic in number 2. Hair grips under the broken slated bed , scatter marks in the toilet (nice) with toilet roll stuck to the brush. The bin with sticky liquid in the bottom. The oven had a tin foil bottom that was covered in crease. Not enough wine glasses. Under the sofas the dirt is very thick. In a nutshell did not appear to be cleaned very well if at all. Empty beer cans down the side of the Hottub. However the location after a good scrub out was lovely. The ground maintenance man very quick when broken bed pointed out and fixed. Hot tub was lovely and clean. Had a lovely 3 days with good friends and would recommend for a short break. Be careful on the last day however as they turn off the hot water so no shower. This too be honest was very bad and should not happen. This happend in ours and our neighbours so not a power cut. Looking at the previous feedback complaining gets you nothing. Take cleaning equipment and perhaps some wine glasses. Oh and take some...
