Just returned home from a lovely week in Dawlish where we stayed at the very beautiful and extremely comfortable Radfords B & B. It was more than a B & B it was home from home😊. We arrived to be greeted by Nigel & Jean who immediately made us feel very welcomed into their home. We were settled into a lovely fresh bedroom very tastefully decorated and a wonderful comfy bed , on suite shower and toilet. Tea & coffee facilities were in the bedroom but once Nigel had helped us with cases he said once were settled in to pop down for complimentary cream teas in the garden. We were made to feel so welcome it was as if we were friends 😊 coffee and scones with cream and jam were brought out into the garden for us to enjoy whilst taking in the lovely view . What a wnderful start to our holiday. This attention to detail carried on throughout our stay at Radfords and a very relaxing week was had. We had full use of a beautiful lounge all week no restrictions at all. It is by far the best B & B we have ever stayed at. Nigel even phoned a local restaurant to book us a table (by a window with a view over the sea) and very genourously gave us a lift. We really couldn't fault our stay at Radfords and would highly recommend it. Many thanks to Nigel and Jean for the excellent service provided and an extra thank you to Geoff the dog for being so...
Read moreThe Radfords is a little piece of paradise, a thatched roof cottage set in the Devon countryside. On arrival Nigel the owner welcomed me to his home and showed me to my room. This was a double room which was a very good size and the ensuite shower was a good size too. Tea and coffee facilities were also present. The bed was also very comfortable. After unpacking Nigel invited me into the picturesque garden which had three levels overlooking the countryside for a complimentary cream tea. The setting was fantastic the piece and quiet broken only by bird song and the neighbouring sheep on the opposite hillside. The well tendered garden was in full bloom also. Nigel asked what time I would like breakfast so no set time which was nice. Breakfast was continental with a choice of teas. The seaside town of Dawlish is only a twenty-five minute walk down the lane along the side of the river. I later met Jean,Nigels wife a lovely lady who together with her husband run a very clean and tranquil guest house where nothing is too much trouble. Thanks again Nigel and...
