Curlewsfarm Holiday Cottages — Hotel in Test Valley

My family and I stayed just this weekend for 3 days whilst attending my son's wedding locally. What a place! Located outside a quiet village Lockerley, near Romsey. The website pictures are accurate but the added to those is the tranquility of the 2 cottages and the shepherd's hut. The bonus of a swimming pool was such a welcome as we were blessed with the hot September weekend. As for Helen, I can only reiterate what others have said - so welcoming, nothing is too much for her. Her 2 dogs we loved popping in and her local knowledge was so valuable. Cottages were well stocked with Helen's chickens' eggs as well as coffee, tea and milk. They truly were like living in your own home equipment wise yet also feeling like you were in holidaying abroad. Finally, a comment about the beds which were so comfortable and the quality of the bedding and pillows just re-affirmed everything about Helen and her desire to make everyone welcome. Great...

My family and I stayed here for my cousins wedding back in September. Curlews is in a gorgeous location, with views looking out on to fields. The cottages and shepherds hut were decorated lovely, the pool area was very clean and the added bonus of the warm welcome from their two dogs, Ivy and Inca. There was ten of us who stayed including our 85-year-old Nan and the dog, there was more than enough space for us all, and the accessibility of the cottages was perfect for Nan! We all had a lovely time and have recommended it to our cousins who live in the area for their friends to stay when they come to visit from afar, and our friends who want to visit down south. If you're considering coming here, please do! Everything about it couldn't be more ideal. The host is one of the kindest people ever, gives great local advice and directions and is also lenient with asking for more pillows, to put up a few extra beds etc. The pool and houses are very well maintained, there's plenty of games and activities, leaflets of things to do locally. I've been coming here a few times over the years and it's one of my all time favorite holiday locations. What are you waiting for!! Go on and...
