Booked a weekend stay here in the 1 bed apartment. Aptly named Applewood after the type of cheese! The accommodation is an old cow shed/barn. There are several other apartments in the complex including 2 apartments that have a hot tub, so be aware of noisy neighbours! the owners ask that guests are quiet after 10.30pm however our neighbours were noisy and excitable. Nothing major, just a annoyance at times.
Applewood has all the mod cons including a wood burning fire (wood and kindling included) Washing machine, microwave, oven and fridge with a small freezer compartment All you need for a long stay.
On site car park right outside your apartment so very easy access to and from the farm. located in the Kent countryside and near some nice places to visit.
No daily room service so not for everyone's preference. But I had no issue with this. You can wash and dry you own towels with the washing machine and tumble dryer that is provided.
We were pleasantly surprised that all the basics were provided too.. Milk, tea, coffee, dish cloth, sponge, washing liquid. Also included were some washing pods, but I think this was from the previous occupant (thanks)
Bed was comfy but it is a small double bed.. I had no issues with this.
Great end suite shower room, but the room is not sealed off completely from the bedroom, as the bathroom wall is about 2ft short of the ceiling, so when using the loo can be awkward as unpleasant smells can waft into the bedroom. Again some people may be put off by this.
Wood burner is provided with enough wood for a couple of days and you can purchase more wood to burn if needed (£8 for a large bundle)
The place was well cleaned and dust free, however this was let down by the uncleaned oven trays which was not acceptable.
I would definitely stay here again for the...

We were a large group of friends having a long-awaited reunion, and it could not have been more perfect. We had all four apartments, which meant we got to enjoy every single chill-out nook and cosy corner… and there are many.
It’s an oasis – blissfully peaceful yet brilliantly social when you want it to be. The attention to detail is faultless, and the place is so well equipped that hosting for 16 people (including a full-on barbecue) was effortless. Every space feels welcoming and comfortable, like it was designed with gatherings like ours in mind.
From the moment we arrived, everything just worked – no stress, no fuss, just pure enjoyment. It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers on every front, but Cheeseman’s truly does. We’ll definitely be back, and in the meantime, I’ll be telling everyone I know: if you’ve got a big group, this is the only place...
Read moreI’d have loved to give this place 5* but there were a few things that left us disappointed, especially for the price.|The cottage itself was very dusty, we had lots of wood lice in the room as well. |We visited during the summer so it was quite hot, the fans provided are really noisy and couldn’t be left on. |The shower leaked all over the floor. |The toaster only worked at one side.|The sofa has seen better days, took 2 of us to pull our mother out of it! ||On a positive note, the hot tub area was very nice, only problem we had was the people from the next cottage walking into our Hot tub area thinking anyone could use it! Maybe this needs to be made clear. |Kitchen facilities were good. |Plenty of TV choices. |All in all our stay was very average.|Probably...
