Biteford Farm — Hotel in Torridge District

Biteford Farm's 'Orchard Lodge' is FANTASTIC 😍. A fabulously presented and well equipped lodge, set in an enclosed 'puppy secure' orchard. On arrival we found a home baked sponge cake and other goodies laid out on the table for us. The whole place was fresh, clean and bright. The bedrooms were immaculate and oh to have the choice of a spacious shower or a roll top bath in an enormous bathroom with a big window looking out into the orchard. (Maybe a cafe net for modesty might be an idea? And maybe a ramp up one side of the steps? might make access a little easier for the less mobile?) But really and truely couldn't fault the place or our hosts. My puppy was intrigued by the ducks/geese, he really couldn't work them out!! :D Don't tell anybody about this little gem in Devon, we want to keep it all to ourselves! 😉 Great stay. A lovely cottage in a very rural location, nearest village is around 4 miles away, there are plenty of beaches nearby, Bude around 30-40 mins drive away, saunton around the same, and Clovelly us nearby around 20mins drive. The dogs really enjoyed the garden and looking at the chickens, ducks and goat. The weather was so lovely, one evening we just sat out in the garden to take it in. We arrived to a bottle of wine, cake and biscuits that was a lovely touch, they also gave us fresh tomatoes which were lovely, you can get eggs from them too, the cottage was lovely and clean with all amenities, there is a washing machine but not a dryer, but if the weather is nice there is a line outside. There is plenty of room to park a car, the kitchen is upstairs and bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. The nearest pub is around...

We stayed at the beautiful Orchard Lodge. A lovely break in a very peaceful location. Perfect for family holidays. Lovely large private garden. The Lodge is incredibly well equipt. Owners are absolutely lovely and welcomed us with treats and the most delicious home baked cake. Highly recommend for breaks in North Devon and North Cornwall.
