NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY My experience. It was an absolutely massive disappointment. It's not a family holiday. I would advertise it as an adult only resort. Upon arrival, the site looked beautiful, and we were so excited for our first family holiday. Another disappointment is the wifi they want you to pay for it and it is about £15 a week. Nice caravan but, disappointed in several things. There was a large cobweb in the main bedroom right next to the wardrobe and the window at head height, like a few years old cobweb. The spare duvet was stained. Reported this tuesday morning. (Reception replaced this about about 5.30 5.30 wednesday). There was no shower curtain in the bathroom, so when we had showers the floor would get soaking wet, We had to put our own towel on the floor as it was becoming dangerous we reported this monday evening and then again tuesday morning. (Reception brought me the shower curtain Wednesday evening and I put it up as house keeping wasnt available although they had the shower curtain in the morning as the receptionist showed me and said she is waiting for house keeping). There was what looked like salt or food over the dining room table. I only had a mop in the caravan. No bucket, no sweeping brush. There was no fire extinguisher or fire blanket in the caravan. I reported this Tuesday morning the receptionist said she will look into this as it's a private caravan. By the end of the holiday I STILL HAD NO FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMEMT. this is most disgusting. Just because it's a private caravan DONT MEAN THAT, WHO IS STAYING IN THERE SHOULD NOT HAVE THAT EQUIPMENT. The park could of got hold of some equipment. After we unloaded the car we wanted to go swimming on the Monday afternoon we just wanted a dip in the pool. NO ONE said about booking we was one site at 13.30 and back on site from about 15.20ish not one person mentioned booking there was no signs about booking and nothing in the welcome pack about booking in for a swim. Again another disappointment. We then tried to book in for a swim there was nothing till Wednesday. We understand it was a new pool but no staff or signage about booking in for a swim. So we had to go for a swim at the local leisure centre. Also when we did have a swim my 9 year old opened the sauna door and the guy on duty was a bit rude in telling her she not allowed in there, again no need for the way he spoke to her again no rules or signage in who is allowed in there. On the Monday evening we went for some lunch at the bar. Only to find out there had ran out of certain foods, we ordered some food and when one of the meal come out it there was items on there that wasn't on the menu which meant they ran out of an item and instead of telling us they just put on 3 veg samosas. As the lady running it said they ran out of food. That's disappointinIt had travelled for about 4 hours only to have a limited menu what a disappointment The laundrette was a joke 2 nothing telling you to download an app just to operate the washing machine again no information. And to top it all off there was no entertainment nothing for a young child to do the park is to small for 9 year old to play and make new friends you had a craft room how many children would want to spend the day colouring in pictures. YOU SELL THE HOLIDAY AS A FAMILY HOLIDAY what is family about it. Yes we had the phone call that was only telling us the times we can book in and we can use the bar beforehand . That bedding was supplied, and we needed to take our own towels. No email with any information, and the park holiday site didn't give me much either, just a countdown to our holiday. Overall the stay at your park holiday is despicable and a massive rip off to the families that you sell 2 I payed alot for that week for low expectations to eat in a restaurant that ran out of food quick on our first day and nothing for the children to do. And only to be able to swim just once a day, for a limited time of 45 minutes. Complaint sent but park holidays don't care about how bad my experience was.

Ill give this a very honest review but the pictures will speak for themselves. Left our stay early. Just book with Haven or Park Dean and save yourself the trouble. The Staff in the bar/restaurant area were great. That’s where the good stuff ends. Other reviewers have mentioned the brown water, this is absolutely correct and was the first thing mentioned to us when we arrived. We were given 6 litres of water on arrival. The water smelt awful as well, thank god for aftershave. The caravan we were assigned as awful. I even went to reception to see if I could pay more money to move to a better standard caravan as ours was supposed to be gold +, but was told this is not possible. I have stayed in silver and even bronze caravans with other providers and got a better quality stay then this. When we arrived there was wires hanging out the wall, mold on the pillows and all round the bathroom, awful stains all over the sofa and floor. As we was sorting out to go to reception one of the maintenance men ā€˜Michael’ welcomed himself in and said the tv in this caravan hadn’t been working properly for a while so I’m going to have another go at fixing it. Whilst doing what every he was doing he mentioned builders had been staying in our caravan and ā€œtrashed itā€ (his words), which makes sense to all the issues we had. The TV didn’t work at all throughout the entire stay. Which of course means you have to be out from first thing in the morning to last thing at night as we had children with us. The other issues were resolved by giving us a new pillow and someone running a sponge a bit round the bathroom which removed a bit of the mold. We were offered to get throws for the sofa to cover the stains ā€œso we would have to see themā€ no mention of a deep clean which was defo needed. There is no green space for children to play football on play bat and ball sports or ride bikes etc. as roads not safe with no speed limit signs and staff using the site like a Mario cart track in their own cars. The bar/restaurant was brand new and looked great. Food was good and the new swimming pool, although a little shallow, was very nice. But bearing in mind there is nothing on site other than a half hearted shop, a play area on a 4x4m slab, swimming pool that can only be used for 45 mins a day and the bar/restaurant shuts one day a week which is madness for a business to shut one of its main money earners. It renders the site completely useless. Location wise, nothing really is within 45 mins of this site so you will be doing a lot of driving if you have children to entertain. Having followed the appropriate actions on their complaints procedure we have got no where and a complete waste of time with nothing but repeated information returned with every email. Honestly save yourself the disappointment and book with Haven or Park Dean who you will get a truer rating to the caravan and actually look after their visitors and try and help as opposed to just cover up. We left out stay early due to all the issues and no real rectification.

We were very impressed with our Gold plus 2 bedroom caravan Summerleaze no 6, seemed like a quiet part of the site. Caravan was new & spotlessly clean. We didn't use facilities so can't comment on those. The site is under reconstruction so most days you would hear heavy machinery at some point. Again not really a problem for us. Staff drive round in golf buggys at ridiculous speed, beware if you have small children. One caravan unoccupied had been left open by cleaners, when it started raining my husband closed the door. We told staff but they didn't seemed bothered. The worse part was our neighbours & constant parties 4 cars to one caravan parking on the grass. We had no security number to call about noise at night. & We certainly didn't see anyone patrolling the site at night. Shame. I liked this site but don't think I'd return. Staff definitely need training in customer service. Definitely no out of hours security number on leaflet. Woman from Hedley rang to say there is a out of hours security number on your leaflet & that we should have come up to reception there's a number on the door. Who wants to leave their caravan at midnight to come to reception to find a number!

I will never stay here again! We booked to stay in a 1 bedroom GOLD caravan... Couldn't be futher from gold šŸ˜‚ On arrival: Great to see reception was open later than expected, we were checked in and the lady was polite, helpful ajd couldn't fault her. We arrived at the caravan.... All windows had been left open (it has been chucking with rain all day) when we entered the caravan was FREEZING, like bitterly cold, all bedding felt damp. Lights had also been left on so all manor of bugs inside. One quick look around whilst unpacking... This place was filthy! Absolutely disgusting, hadn't been cleaned other than a flick of a hoover and wipe of bathroom. Towel rail was leaking water everywhere on floor.. Clearly been happening for a long time as was rusted and cupboard next to it water damamaged. We also walked into a overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke when we entered (clearly why they left the windows open!). After unpacking and feeling annoyed already, we paid for their 'superfast Internet' as described all over paperwork and their website. Ā£15 for 4 days! It didn't work. Internet connection was SO slow it barely functioned... Ok so lets pop the 'smart' tv on (again, as advertised on their page). Ah, as every smart does, it has Netflix and all the other apps...did they work? No. Off to bed we go to find the WORST mattress I ever seen in my life, we are well travelled and I have never seen a mattress ao disgusting even in the worst of hotels. It was RUBBER, so old, springs poking out of it and severely dented from people laying in the same spot for many, many years. Now we all like different mattresses, but this was no personal preference. This mattress was inadequate and PAINFUL. Having fibro, a hip condition and my partner a back condition, we couldn't sleep and I debated sleeping on the sofa cushions on the floor. We rang reception in the morning and my partner explained the issues with the Internet, tv and bed. A maintenence guy turned up shortly after, was quite rude and told us 'we don't advertise it as a smart tv, as the Netflix etc doesn't work' (yet I have a screenshot of them advertising it as just that.. A smart tv! He then they couldn't do anything about the Internet and WE would have to complain to the Internet company themselves... Yet hedley are advertising it themselves as super fast....more lies. Guy on reception said he would sort the bed issue. We went out ajd stopped in to reception on our way... The lady asked how we were and I said about the bed, she reassured her collegue was 'on it'. We went out all day and returned, excited to get a better night sleep. We went into the bedroom to find the same appalling mattress. My partner rang reception again, the same guy just basically said housekeeping have no mattress toppers... He didn't care at all. No apologies, no reassurance or anything. We asked if we could atleast have a couple of duvets to lay on. He said he would try. We waited... 2hrs. Another rude person turned up and passed us a screwed up duvet in a black bin bag. We pulled it out to fine ONE, VERY thin double duvet. I folded it in half and then and put it on the bed to get an extra 2 inchs of barely there comfort from the springs. Just when I thought it could've get better, I find blood stains all over it. Perfect. Just to match the 1 inch thick, only pillow they give you. Which we had to use the sofa pillow to even be able to lay down. We were told the park was only about 20% full whilst we were there. We walked around, what a boring place. It seems they have spent ALL their money on the refurbish of the bar/restaurant and nothing else. The sofa was almost on the floor and extremely uncomfortably, fridge was filthy, kettle was brown. Greasy fingerprints everywhere and utensils filthy too. I am honestly disgusted at this place and will never come here again. They didn't care about our issues at all. I have come home in agony from the mattress and a cold from being so cold and damp in...

We left out stay early due to all the issues and no real...
