Hoots Tree House — Hotel in Wealden

Had a delightful one night stay as a gift for my partners birthday. It was the perfect retreat for us to just find peace and quiet together. Lucinda was lovely and arranged an early check in given we were only staying for one night. We stayed in Hoots Treehouse which was so well designed. Stocked with tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, and fresh bread - it was a really cute stay. Comfy bed, stunning views too. Although we don’t have kids the top hidden bedroom is super cool and the fact that there’s swings and a playhouse out in the woods behind is very cool too, would defo recommend it for families! We also had a meal at the nearby pub The Middle House - they have a renovated restaurant and the food was fab, it was a suggestion by Lucinda and was a lovely evening! Will defo come back, could visit in every season and have a different experience. Can’t wait...

spent the weekend here & wow i would definitely stay here again. treehouse was very clean also had the essentials like milk, sugar tea, coffee & the homemade bread which was delicious! the location is great especially if you like a walk with lovely country side views. would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay here. the host lucinda is also very nice made sure everything was okay. the outside bath was amazing one of the best bits! very close farms & farm shops so you will not be bored. (not that we went anywhere) would also say even though it’s very far out into fields it all feels very safe! just make sure you bring food to cook in evenings unless you go out. all round amazing & such a peaceful time, also great for stargazing! thankyou lucinda & will see you soon...

We had high hopes for our stay at Hoots, but unfortunately it didn’t meet our expectations. The main issue is cleanliness: cobwebs, musty towels, cracked plates, and pans not clean from previous guests. My daughter slept for two nights on the armchair because the upstairs section had cobwebs. I appreciate it’s a treehouse but considering the high price we hoped it would be cleaner. The owner was very defensive when we politely raised concerns, and ignored our messages for remedies throughout the stay. A really disappointing experience. Perhaps Tawny is the better property...
