Stayed for 1 night in Stus pontoon.|On arrival four seasons itself it looks a lovely place. ||The walkway from the front door to the inside door was sodden from a leaky water pipe and this had made the inside very wet to, But with the glamping concept I imagine it it rained it would be the same issue. Make sure you have suitable footwear.||First impressions were good it was funky and different.||I noticed when looking around that it wasn’t the cleanest. Dirty dressing gowns with tears in. The cups all needed washing prior to use and so did the plates the following morning as they had food left on them (disgusting). I went flying on the bedroom floor so not sure what they use to clean it but just be careful.||The outside pod had dirt marks all over the quilt (pictured) at first I told my daughter off for climbing on the bed (poor child) she was adamant she hadn’t and I didn’t believe her. Didn’t think anything of it. Later in the night when my son and I were going to bed I pulled back the bedding and found loads of dead bugs under the quilt and under the pillows , I quickly wiped them off so my child wouldn’t see. I checked the bedding for any live bugs and well it was disgusting! Both beds were filthy. Upon further investigation it was clear the bed I accused my daughter of standing on was clearly just dirty and hadn’t been cleaned as the whole bed was disgusting.|I reported this and someone came out and agreed it hadn’t been cleaned, was also shocked at the state of the pod. Offered to try find some more sheets but at this point I needed to get my little one to sleep and there was no guarantee there was any. I stripped back the bedding and used blankets that I fortunately brought, as the ones in the lodge were damp.||I was told him and the owner would return in the morning. We left around 10.00 and no one had been to see us. No contact either. ||It didn’t feel clean from the offset but I just thought it’s posh camping and I’m being snobby.|I found the layout odd. The toilet is right next to the living area.||The hot tub does get very hot so it’s really not suitable for children even under supervision. ||Also a squirrel managed to open a sealed bag and get into some biscuits and some other food so just make sure you store your food well. I didn’t even think to be honest, there is a fridge but no storage cupboard. ||The concept is good but the seating isn’t comfy and not great for young kids but that is just my experience from the pontoon. |For the price it’s not...

Perfect Place

We'd been looking for a place for sometime to hold joint 50th Birthday Celebrations that would accommodate and entertain both adults and children ... Four Seasons Glamping did just that and more! We hired out the whole island filling all 7 pods and as a party of 16 adults and 7 children we couldn't have asked for a better place. Plenty of room for everyone and accommodation to suit everyones needs. The Island is amazing. So well thought out and perfectly designed. All the pods are unique and quirky in their own different ways and love the stories behind where they came from and how they were installed. We really couldn't choose which one we liked best! The website and pictures are great, but really don't do the place justice. You really need to see them to appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail that has gone into designing and building them. Amazing eco glamping concept, yet feels like you're in a 5 star hotel with all the little extras, piping hot showers and SUPER comfy beds! Some of our party actually wanted to take their matress home with them! 😅 Beautiful, private, quiet area surrounded by amazing views, woodland scenery and wildlife. Love George the goose 🪿❤️ what a character and great addition to the staff team! Even the squirrel thieves are amusing! Perfect that we could lock the gates too, then we could relax knowing the children were safe to play and have fun. Hot tubs were amazing and pre-warmed for our arrival, meaning we could just jump in. Lots of wood on site too, so we could keep them topped up and warm throughout our stay. Staff were spot on and couldn't do enough to help. Nothing was too much trouble. Dan was super helpful when we had a couple of glitches with one of the boilers, he called out the engineer straight away and had it sorted within the hour. Amazing service 👏🏻 We had our 80's themed party on Saturday evening down at the Beach Hut. Just the perfect gathering place. Large beach, great BBQ area, fire pit, loads of seating and the perfect view when the moon comes out. Really can't thank Paul and all his team enough for making our birthday celebrations go perfectly and without a glitch. A fantastic time had by all. 5 star luxury glamping for the same price that it usually costs us to pitch a family tent for the night in Devon! ⛺️ I know where I'd rather be! 😅 Will definitely be visiting...

Just arrived back from a 2 night stay here staying in The Hideaway. From the moment we arrived we was greeted by one of the owners, she was so nice and pleasant and showed us around our pod and gave us the basic run down on what to do. This particular pod is fantastic, has its very own personality, which they all do. There is a shower, toilet (composting) kitchen, bedroom, seating area over the lake with lovely views. There is a BBQ on the seating area or a gas hot plate in the kitchen. Numerous of ways to keep warm, fire in the bedroom & sitting area inside plus a chimnea outside of needed. The main point was the whirlpool, these are filled up fresh on every stay and heated for you for a small cost on arrival if you prefer. We were lucky enough to be able to have a look at a few others on the island while they were unoccupied and each and every one blew us away. Each has something different to give and you won't be able to just come here and try one you will be back to stay in them all! There is a chef you can use to bring your food if you plan on not cooking at all but we chose to bring our own food, a small fridge and freezer is provided. You can also buy wood from them too as everything requires it, from the hot tubs to the fires. Although it doesn't take much to warm up your tubs as we learned, you just need to make sure you keep them lit, so a little bit of a top up now and then. All towels and robes are provided alongside complimentary tea/coffee/sugar/milk. If you ever need anything they are there to help you and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The whole place is beautiful and what they have done to it is absolutely fabulous. Everywhere you look there is something quirky. We will be booking again very soon to stay in The beach hut and I cannot wait. Perfect for couples or a small party, just the right place to relax and unwind.
