Camp ground is great! (BUT)…. I want to start off positive I have stayed here a lot at this campground it’s always clean the people at the front gate are great and helpful the Rangers are nice. The people you meet in a campground or usually veryNice and try to help out each other and for the most part are always courteous. But that being said site 51 has a van tastic view of the water right there on the beach of the lake but it is not one of the Entrance way down to the beach!! We did have a few people wanting to walk right through the middle of our camping site with alll of the stuff you might want to take to the beach. After about the tenth person dragging tents, flots, chairs, coolers bumping into or RV and down the side of our truck my husband started asking people to take a path BEHIND THE CAMPER led right down to the beach with plenty of room. We had to block our pad off to keep people from going through. Most people were fine with going around when they knew there was a path behind the camper. There are two other entrance onto the beach. Even though walking behind someone’s camper would’ve made a third path. maybe with a sign stating how to get to the beach might’ve been helpful for some or if you really want that site reserve it early. The people that got mad kept messing with our water shut off and one kept flipping the breaker. I don’t care who you are you should show respect for other people and their belongings We were there to have a good time and should not have to worry about damage to our belongings. Just show courtesy...

Hardridge Creek-Abbeville, AL, site 77. Nice campground on Georgia/Alabama border. We are in the Shady Loop which has full hookups. Nice sites with gravel patio area with grill, fire ring, picnic table and lantern hooks. You will need at least 50 feet of water hose as all water connections are at the back of the campsite on the front side of your rig. Looks to be the case in all of the loops. The 3 other loops only have electric and water hookups. Some of the sites in the other loops are close together. In addition, some have some weird angles to back into and some have some steep grades, so pick your site carefully. Some sites in the 1st three loops have great views of the lake. Campround has a nice beach with a swimming area, a playground and covered picnic area down by the lake. Campround has 2 bathhouses and 2 laundry facilities, which we did not use. My only complaint is there is only one dumpster area in the campground, which for us was a good distance away, as it is near the entrance. Would be nice to at least have one at each end of the campground. Overall a nice campground. This is our second time...

I visited the HARDRIDGE CREEK campground in Alabama, where I found the campsites to be roomy and some with picturesque waterfront views. The swimming area was inviting, but I decided against taking a dip due to the time of year. (February) Unfortunately, my interaction with one set of camp hosts left me feeling unimpressed as they seemed irritable and unwelcoming. I had a problem with the washer and the camp host said it wasn’t her problem (even though the sign in the laundry area stated to speak to a camp host with issues). They told me to go to a different washer and dryer. I explain they should put a sign on the washer. They never mention to me how I shall get my $$ back so I could re-wash my items. And before this situation happened during check in she was rude with me. They need to get some more pleasant workers or something. ( a older couple was the camp host at this time. I didn’t get their names otherwise I...

My wife and I are still here on a little weekend getaway (only 65 miles from home), and so far we've really been enjoying it. We're at site 69 and it's very nice, probably the highest spot in the park, not really sure. We got one of the spots with a full hookup and it was only $28 per night. Great deal as far as I'm concerned. When we got here yesterday we were greeted by a very nice lady and a gentleman (not born in the south...lol), they were both great to us as lomg as you understand people's personalities can be different depending on where you're from. A review I read said they were rude, (and I can see that) it could be taken that way if you're not used to people being blunt and to the point. Anyway, the site has a large (double or even triple some we've been in and it's been very well maintained. Unless something changes, I feel like we will be back pretty soon.
