American Star Inn 1633 W Stamford St, Abilene, TX 79601 — Hotel in Abilene

don’t recommend this hotel at all. my husband was working in abeline and needed to stay for 2 days so as my husband was working he asked me to book the room for him. as i was looking at the reviews it didn’t look too bad plus it was the ONLY hotel available from the 8th-10th of July so i booked it. without realizing it was non-refundable & and smoking room but that didn’t matter we were hoping for the best. my husband finally got out of a 16 hour shift and got to the hotel once approaching my husband said it looks decent once entering the room, the room didn’t even have a lightbulb, there was a big tear on the sealing a big hole in the restroom and there was water on the floor and the air conditioner wasn’t working. my husband went to the front office asking if he can switch to another room and the front office was being difficult with him since it was booked through hotels . com and i reached out to hotels. com and they also said they couldn’t refund me but they reached out to the hotel directly asking for a room change and the front office was no help at all. they lied and said the hotel was in perfect condition but clearly these photos prove otherwise. my husband stayed paying the $200 for 2 days and went to stay in Cisco which was 25 mins away from his job site. do not recommend this nasty hotel i understand there may be some imperfections but this is...

This was such a terrible property, but all these highway hotels are being bought up by the Patel families. They buy these properties and allow them to be destroyed by the guests or by lack of maintenance. Many people don't talk about this part. But it is absolutely true.

The towels were disgusting and all had stains on them. The parking lot had so many potholes, it was like driving in Baghdad as you anticipated an IED. The bedspread was miserable and I threw it on the floor to be far away from it. I actually thought about showering in my Jeep because of the black mold in the bathroom.

Do yourself a favor, spend triple the money and go to a place run by Americans that want to give you a nice and safe place stay for the night!

Worst hotel i have ever been in. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The bed and couch had stains from who knows what. The ceiling was also peeling and had mold all over the place. They said they would fix all of it the next day and after a week nothing happened. After me constantly asking when it would be fixed they moved me to a smaller room and refused to pay back the difference. Even though I had paid for a 2 bed room.
