We loved our stay at this quaint little campground in the country. Our hosts were very nice and helpful. It was very quiet and peaceful and the other campers were also very nice and we enjoyed many visits around campfires. We have a 30' Self Contained Camper and all we needed was water, electric & gray water disposal (which Dennis hooked up for us with his own hose). The internet came in great and we were able to watch our Netflix on our Chromecast attached to our TV. (Yes...we really "rough-it"...LOL). The Amenities seemed to be a surprise to some campers so it is in YOUR BEST INTEREST to read them thoroughly. They have a separate dog run which was awesome for our 2 Labs. Dennis was so nice as to tell us that our little grandsons, 2 & 4, would love to swim at Elk Ridge Veterans Park....just 9 miles away. The beach is pet friendly, sandy beaches, warmer water than Traverse Bay (major difference), playground, shade trees in some areas. We also took a little 30 mile drive to King Orchard to pick Sweet Dark Cherries and Strawberries. Traverse City is a BIG CITY! Stores like Costco, SAMs, Aldi, Dollar Tree & a Huge Mall. Enjoyed All-you-can Eat Smelt & Cod on Friday night at Sleders, the oldest family owned restaurant (Kiss the Moose). Also visited the Mission Lighthouse at the end of the Peninsula! Already planning on coming back next year.....and YES, we will be staying at Everflowing Waters Campground !

This is a beautifully maintained small park with water and electricity. The owner maintains grass paths back into the wild, and the foliage and scenery are breathtaking. A quiet creek burbles around the place - if you have the opportunity, get a sleep-inducing creekside site. The owner, Dennis, is a really nice old guy and is rather particular about keeping things quiet and clean -- by the way, there is no dump site or showers on site, there are porta-potties and an outhouse for campers. I understand you can shower at the state park. This lovely campground is right up the road from the truly beautiful town of Traverse City, Michigan. 26 foot Travel Trailer, August 2020

The gentleman who answered the phone for my reservation was the same one who greeted me, and he was extremely kind and thoughtful. He chose a beautiful tent spot for me, but also gave me the option to choose my own if needed (I used his suggestion as it was perfect). Each site had electricity and water, and many were right next to a flowing creek that made very relaxing sounds. There was also a nice field next door which meant it felt private and was quiet. Bathrooms were not the best. And neither had toilet paper, but aside from that, everything was great. My dogs also had a great time running around the area, and it was nice and close to TC.

We booked a week here to explore the surrounding area and upon pulling in one of the first things the gentleman said to us was regarding us 'not telling him' that we had 'all this stuff' with us. We weren't sure what to say, as all we had was a truck pulling the camper and a jeep (that is not rated to pull the camper). We ignored the comment and drove to find our campsite. Upon first glance, there was no firepit. Since all of our meals were planned over the fire, this was not going to work for us. We called the gentleman and asked if there was another site available with a firepit. After going back and forth a few times, he didn't seem thrilled at offering the site right behind the first one we were given. It had a firepit, so we went with it. Unfortunately, not all sites have firepits and picnic tables. We ended up using a tiny table we brought with us. Most of the sites are grassy, but are certainly far from being large as the website states. The back side of our 26' TT was kissing trees and bushes to allow for about 10' of space between our steps and the camper next to us. The campground is honestly just some person's yard with the sites surrounding the house that sits in the middle. Unfortunately, the website and photos make the campground sound much more pleasing then it actually is. There is a septic service that you can pay to come to your site to empty your gray/black tanks for you. While that sounds nice, it was not enjoyable for the truck driver to walk through our 10' of space with a 'soiled' tube to connect to our neighbor to empty their tanks while we were eating a meal outside mid-morning. The bathrooms were 2 porta-johns that were incredibly disgusting and never refilled with toilet paper. In less then 24 hours, we were on google looking to go to a different campground, unfortunately, all near were booked. Camp sites are packed way too tight for comfort, as well as maneuvering to back a camper in or hook it up to leave. We had to make many adjustments just to make the turn out of our site. While this might be the right campground for some, it was not for us. We will not...

Never ever stay at this place! The owner, Dennis is an Evil man. I was camping with my 3 boys for a wonderful 4th weekend and couldn’t find any other spot on Traverse City area as everything was sold out due to the holiday. Dennis was very rude when we arrived for no reason at all! We set the tent up and laided our everything. In the morning we had a fire going and breakfast cooking and I was on an important phone call when the creepy old man appeared at our campsite just staring at us. My little boy was swinging a cooking spatula at some branches on a pine tree which set Dennis off !! He started badgering my oldest saying we were rude, in considerate, destructive, etc. My boys were shocked and really snook up. We then left for a day trip to Sleeping bear dunes, a 50min drive and half way there I got a horrible phone call from Dennis ripping me on the phone for letting my son “destroy” his property! Then he told me to turnaround and come pack my stuff up an leave! I pleaded with him and told him we have no where else to go as everything is full and his response was “I don’t care ... that’s your problem”. So we turned around and packed everything up and pulled out for our Homeless journey. I stopped at his house on the way out since his was too afraid to face me man-to-man and let him know we were leaving and that I would expect a refund for the night we were not staying and he said “that’s Not going to happen” The Evil man ruined a weekend away with my boys ... shame on you Dennis! And he advertises a “Christian Owner” ... brother my Bible doesn’t describe a Christian as someone with the characteristics like Dennis. I’m a Christian... Dennis, stop advertising that please ... it’s a bad look for Christians...

We booked several months in advance and was quoted $475 for a two week stay verbally over the phone so we sent in our deposit. Camp site was really small and we didn’t have a fire ring which was disappointing but the campground was clean and quiet but we didn’t use the bathrooms so I couldn’t tell you how good or bad they were. When it was time to check out we got a bill for $800.00. We asked the owner, Dennis, why so much and his response was because we were at the local horse show and he charges people who participate in the horse show more. We responded that wasn’t fair we get charged more than the person next to us using the same type of campsite who wasn’t at the horse show. He then just said pay the $475.00. everything was cordial up to that point. The next morning we dropped the check off in the drop box and this is when things went south. He texted us and said never to return to his campground and we must be terrible in a grocery store and some other nasty stuff I would never say as a business owner. I feel he was totally trying to take advantage of us. When I got home I went to his website and checked the rates for the next two weeks and it was $35.71 per night (basically $500.00 For two weeks)with bold lettering saying to call for “horse show rates” so apparently he can rip people off and charge more. I would have paid an extra 25 dollars to avoid confrontation and move on but he wanted to be an A-hole instead. Don’t tell this man your business he will use it against you and get...
