Swiss Roots — Hotel in Addison (Webster Springs)

Our time at the Swiss Roots Inn was everything we hoped it would be. We stayed for 4 nights/5 days, and it was a quiet, slow-paced visit to a tiny community with interesting history and great food! We used Helvetia as a jumping-off point for day hikes at Holly River and Kumbrabow parks. The staff was kind and our room was very clean and comfortable. The common areas were ample and appropriately supplied (and I bought emergency eye drops from the general store downstairs). There was an open porch to eat meals, watch the comings and goings of the hummingbirds and the postman during the day and to look up at the stars and watch the moths flit about at night. Not only is Helvetia a lovely little respite from city life - the Swiss Roots Inn was the perfect place to settle in...

The Swiss Roots Inn offerd a comfortable night's sleep. Though I must say the nightlife in town left a little to be desired. (Three deer in the field across the way, a possum scurrying across the road, And the neighborhood dogs were friendly though I would guess they often sucker unwitting visitors into feeding them based on their follow you around nature.) So if you came here for fun and excitement your doomed but if peace and relaxation is what you are looking for it doesn't get more peaceful. P.S. the room was super super super clean!
