Casa del Valle 55+ RV Resort — Hotel in Alamo

I've lived in the Rio Grande Valley 6 years full time, and lived in 4 mobile home parks by now. Everyone I know say CdV is "the party park," as the people who live there are fun. I have been dancing there several times, and last Saturday was bored with the band, so went wandering around the big recreation area. Was I impressed! They have two jigsaw puzzle tables going, a library that's nicely arranged, several rooms for cards or meetings or quilting or other stuff. Very clean. There were tables with all the activities going on, such as bike excursions, trips, Wellness screenings occurring there, and even a defensive driving course by AARP! The dance hall has a wood floor, the good kind, for dancers with bad, or good, knees. I don't know the price of rent there. I prefer to live in a park where I own my own land, which isn't any more expensive than paying $350 a month for rent at such a place. If you want lotsa activities to keep you busy, this would be a good place to go to. A guard gate there, but never seen a guard at it...

What a wonderful place!! Natalie and Nettie went out of their way to get me a place to stay and to help me find a permanent home in the park. These ladies are the best in my book. I now am settling in to my park model and love it!. One of the best parts about living here is that all amenities are open and available at all times. You can swim late late night when you can't sleep or do your laundry at 3am if it suits you. I am blessed to have found this place I love calling home.

And now on my 3rd year and what a drastic change. I have seen animal abuse by staff and have been subjected to adverse treatment. It seems if you disagree with staff, you become a target. Life is not so good here any longer. Management attempts to "manage" residents. So sad. Many people are leaving, now unhappy choosing to live here part time...

After being on the road for more than 8 hours, we were looking foward to park our rv and relaxing. We were supposed to go to another RV park but they refused to let us in after 5 pm. We called Casa Del Valle and they welcomed us with open arms. We went to the office the next day and we were greeted with smiles and good humor. She offered us a monthly special, which we took.
