I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Bear Trail Lodge in King Salmon, Alaska, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. If you're a fly fishing enthusiast seeking a top-notch getaway, this lodge should be at the top of your list. The primary highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the exceptional fly fishing opportunities for both trout and salmon. The lodge's prime location offers access to some of the most pristine fishing spots in Alaska, making it a dream destination for anglers. Throughout my stay, I enjoyed fruitful fishing sessions, reeling in impressive catches that will remain etched in my memory. The expert guides provided by the lodge were not only knowledgeable about the local waters and species, but also genuinely passionate about ensuring a successful and enjoyable fishing experience. One of the standout features of the Bear Trail Lodge is its commitment to providing a comprehensive and diverse fishing experience. During my stay, I had the chance to embark on four unforgettable fly-out trips. These excursions allowed me to explore a variety of fishing environments, from serene rivers teeming with trout to dynamic waters where salmon put up an exhilarating fight. Each trip was expertly organized and executed, showcasing the lodge's dedication to offering a well-rounded adventure for its guests. Beyond the exceptional fishing, the lodge's staff played a pivotal role in enhancing the overall experience. From the moment I arrived, I was met with warm and welcoming hospitality. The staff members were not only friendly and accommodating but also genuinely invested in ensuring that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile truly made a difference. Of course, a memorable fishing trip isn't complete without satisfying meals, and the Bear Trail Lodge certainly delivered on that front as well. The culinary offerings were a delightful surprise, with each meal showcasing fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Whether it was a hearty breakfast to fuel the day's fishing adventures or a delectable dinner to wind down in the evening, the lodge's kitchen consistently delivered mouthwatering dishes that catered to a variety of tastes. In conclusion, my experience at the Bear Trail Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. The remarkable fly fishing opportunities for trout and salmon, the well-organized fly-out trips, the friendly and attentive staff, and the delicious culinary offerings all combined to create a getaway that exceeded my expectations. If you're seeking an unforgettable fly fishing adventure in the heart of Alaska's wilderness, the Bear Trail Lodge is undoubtedly a destination worth considering.

We recently visited Bear Trail Lodge as part of our honeymoon in Alaska and were absolutely blown away. The lodge is set in the most incredible setting within the Katmai National Park, with wonderful views of the Naknek river. We stayed for two nights, spending one day at the awesome Brooks Falls to watch the bears on the salmon run. To get to Brooks Falls the lodge arranged for us to fly in a sea plane to the park area which was wonderful in itself. We had no plans for our second day, so we went with one of the lodge guides (Ryan) out fishing for our first ever fishing experience. It was amazing! I had never considered fishing as an activity before, but it was so much fun. The lodge expertly prepared our catch, which we flew with us frozen all the way back to the UK. The food and drink in the lodge is delicious, with a great friendly atmosphere. And the hot-tub - what a view. On our last afternoon we watched a mummy bear and her three cubs swim the river outside the hotel while we relaxed in the hot-tub. Perfect. I can't recommend Bear Trail Lodge enough. A truly unique honeymoon experience. Thank you!

Dear All,|Recently were staying at the lodge.|Deeply upset and depressed with the quality.|Please find the feedback with the most disappointing moments:||1) Food - absolutely impossible to eat. All mixed in a trash form (eggs with potatoes, etc). Like each day it was the same food / meals served on the first day of the stay. First time really couldn't eat anything for breakfast. This needs to be improved multiple times. |2) Bed Linen - very old and smelly. Impossible to sleep. The pillows, blankets need to be replaced with new ones. Everything is too old and smells so that it's impossible to sleep .|3) Fishing - first time we were in the place in Alaska where there was no fish at all. Until asked the guide to go to the place that we choose ourselves. This was the place where we found fish. However it should be the other way round.|4) Very good guide Mason. Very attentive and professional. This is a positive side of the Lodge fishing activities.|5) Good cabin size with good windows / enough light. However bed linen and pillows and blankets - everything should be renewed.||Sincerely hope it will help to improve the quality...
