BlueWater BaseCamp is a hidden gem nestled in the mountains above Anchorage. I recently stayed in the Ranger's Roost cabin for the CERWIB Meaningful Marketing retreat, and it was the perfect setting for learning and relaxation. The cabin was cozy and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, a kitchenette, and a luxurious soaking tub. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful natural surroundings. It was the ideal escape from the city, yet still easily accessible. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. The Rooster's welcome pack was a thoughtful touch, stocked not only with delicious treats like popcorn and "Meaning of Life" coffee, but also a wealth of information about local events, businesses, and the extensive services offered by BlueWater BaseCamp itself. It truly made me feel connected to the area.||A funny story: when Teal, the owner, was checking me into my room and showing me the heaters and such, she mentioned that this was her favorite unit, but it's hard to get out of bed in the morning. I was scheduled to be at yoga at 8 am the next day, and then I knew exactly what she meant! The bed was so comfortable that I unfortunately missed the yoga portion of the retreat. It was just too tempting to stay nestled in! Being here in this cabin for 24 hours felt like a true retreat. A Healing Retreat Beyond 5 Stars 🌲 We stayed at BlueWater BaseCamp for two nights—just my significant other, our two sons, and our dog Gremlin—and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt embraced by the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Gremlin instantly bonded with Esmerelda (one of the sweetest dogs we've ever met), Ranger is awesome too and even our 13-year-old—who’s usually glued to his phone—was impressed by the fast Wi-Fi.

For us adults, the campfire and sauna were pure bliss. There’s something about sitting on the porch, wrapped in warmth, that makes you forget the noise of everyday life. I genuinely felt like I could’ve stayed forever. It stirred something deep in me—a reminder of how much I long to live outside the city, surrounded by nature and stillness.

Amazing Alaskan Retreat! BlueWater BaseCamp is an absolute treasure in the Eklutna Valley, just a short drive from Anchorage. I stayed here as part of a three-day adventure organized by Revel Treks + Tours, and it was the perfect base for exploring the stunning surroundings. The cabins are beautifully designed with high-quality bedding, kitchenettes, and all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail is incredible, and the property itself is nestled in nature, with snow-capped mountains and serene forests all around.

The hosts, Russ and Teal, go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome. You can tell how much love and care went into building this place. If you're lucky, you might even meet their dogs, Ranger and Esmeralda, who add even more appeal to the place.
