Dipnetting camping: $75 a night for dry camping plus $5 per person in the party, in a cow pasture, without a fire pit or picnic table. Typical dry camping in this area is $25-$35 a night with no per person fee. Fire pits that were confirmed over the phone are not available. There is potable water, free showers and fish cleaning stations. Potable water and fish cleaning stations are available at other campgrounds for free as well without the exorbitant rate, and a shower is $5 at the laundromat if you really need one. But for an Alaskan who only plans on being here for three nights, they'll just shower at home. These rates are price gouging and ludicrous, and take advantage of the fact that all campgrounds are full of Alaskans trying to get in their subsistence fishing haul for the year.

Very nice and neat RV place. We liked it very much to stay there. The central location is excellent for travels to the Kenai peninsula's tourist destinations, such as Whittjer, Seward and Homer. We arrived early for the season, so some amenities weren't quite ready, but the owner and his crew worked very hard to fix this issues. I can recommend this place to anybody and if I ever come back to this area I would try to stay there again. The only negative point is the very slow WiFi, when lot's of customers are using it (streaming). If you need speed, go to the Tourist Information Office in Soldotna.

I am a travel nurse & will be here for 4 months. This place is amazing. They have camping from tents to full hook-ups for your RV. I stayed in one of there on-site rental units. It was a 1 bedroom apartment. It was perfect for me & my 2 dogs. The owners are amazing and run this place like everyone is family. They even have an area with animals that you can learn about & pet (some of them). I highly recommend this place for your vacation weather it's a few days, weeks, or months!

I could never speak highly enough of this place.

My wife and I have been here since early August and are set to leave Kenai soon (now late November) and we will miss this place dearly.

RV: We got here and stayed in their RV campsites in our fifth wheel for a few months. The spot was spacious and other guests were very friendly. Amazing wifi, and full 5G cell service (ATT), kept us plenty occupied on cold evenings. At the site are nice picnick tables, and a large metal fire pit. Wood is available for purchase on site. Clean and well maintained campgrounds were perfect for walking our two dogs around and playing.

Cabin: After a couple months in the RV my wife and I needed to sell it to plan our move away, and the Ranch was more than accommodating. We took advantage of their cheap winter on-site storage for the RV in the meantime. We asked if they had any available dry cabins and they had a couple options available. We opted for their Rustic cabin which is deep in the woods with a wonderful view of Mt. Spur and the Kenai River. The Ranch was so freaking accommodating. There were several amenities that the cabin didn't have (which seemed to be a feature of the cabin. Rustic old homestead for a few nights) like a freezer, grill, stove, and heater. They installed all of the above in just a couple days. We just asked if the items were there, we didn't even request them, and they did it anyway. It's been a wonderful stay here in the cabin.

There is a bathhouse with showers available for guests, and as a long term resident we were assigned a private unit. It was spacious, clean, and very convenient.

I honestly don't have a single complaint about the Ranch. From their rates, to their staff, everything has been perfect and then some. I rarely leave reviews, and sadly mostly negative(I know..) are all I bother leaving, but I had to let people know what a wonderful place this is. On our journey from the Southeast US to Alaska we stayed at dozens of campsites. None can come close to the hospitality and facilities of the Diamond M Ranch. 10 out of 5 stars. I hope you enjoy your stay half as much as we did....

My husband and I have been here for almost two months! The staff here goes out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. We stayed in three different sites in our two months. One site we were at, was at the end somewhat closer to the animals, another time in the middle and then on the opposite end. We just couldn't make up our minds and the owners were very accommodating!

The bathrooms are very clean and kept cleaned throughout the day! Bathrooms being clean is a must for me and I was quite pleased that these were. Also, with as many campers as there were in the middle of July, I worried I'd not have hot water. That was not the case, as there was plenty of hot water. While the curtains on the windows were adequate in the bathrooms, I would have preferred thicker curtains as you could see through them at night.

The grounds are well groomed and kept very clean! They clean every campsite needed or not when someone leaves! I witnessed this many times!

I read reviews from several different sites and one review complained about smells. In the two months we were here, I NEVER smelled the animals. We even walked beside their pen several times and never smelled any thing, as one person wrote. Seriously, the review I read about the smell, had me worried that I'd smell animals. However, that was never the case in the two months we were here. Besides, there are only a few animals in the pasture.

We were here all of June when it rained almost everyday- probably 20 out of 30 days! We never had any issues with mud and holes in the roads, as it has a lot of gravel and the park and roads are well maintained!

All in all, we had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning here again next year! ...

We didn't plan to stop in Soldotna, Alaska or stay at the Diamond M Ranch Resort but mechanical trouble with our tow vehicle changed our plans. We called from town, hoping to find a site. We didn't know that in addition to high season, this is also fishing season and Soldotna is a very popular area. In spite of all that, the very nice ladies in the office were incredibly helpful and worked hard to get us in. To say they were fantastic would be an understatement. Initially, they said on the phone that we would have to be in the Pasture (which is essentially an open field with no hookups) but by the time we got there she had found a full-hookup site for us. We'd have to move the next day, but we thought that a small ask for the use of the site. Again, we thought we'd end up in the Pasture but Ronna was kind and gracious, went well out of her way and pulled off another miracle: a full-hookup site that would be available for three nights. She was really incredible and really helped us out in our time of tribulation. In addition, Diamond M Ranch is a very nice campground. The sites are pretty level and the utilities work fine, the facilities are clean and brightly lit, and there are fun things available for the kids. All in all, we consider ourselves lucky to have found Ronna, the other ladies in the office, and...
