The only RV campsite in Hyder. Small, not a ton of space between the sites close to road but they did have spaces under the trees that looks quite ample. Large rig friendly. You can choose dry or full hookups, facilities include laundry, showers, restroom. Very close to the bear viewing platforms. Felt safe and welcoming! Clean facilities. No smoking policy on the property makes for fresh air and I really appreciate that. You can literally just go across the road. A new owner came in this season and has been cleaning it up! This morning they were selling fresh cinnamon rolls. It’s a family endeavor and it was so sweet to see even the kids letting rv and campers know about the happenings of the property etc. I would return in a moment. Nicer than the options in Stewart in my opinion. I appreciate a family business.

Wonderful! Stayed one night while on a motorcycle camping trip but wish we could stay longer. No tent camping allowed due to bear activity, but they had cozy options available. Very easy to reserve, I made reservations through the app Hipcamp. Beautiful grounds, great wifi (wow!), laundry, and showers, the host was so pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. They had a great little gift shop, literally everything you need. I couldn't believe this place was so great while being so remote! I will absolutely come here again. I was there mid-July and the bears weren't around yet for the Fish Creek Observation Site, but we rode up to the Salmon Glacier! It's an amazing drive up a rough gravel road, about 21 miles. I wouldn't go up with an RV but a good 4x4 or adventure bike will do fine.

We stayed here for two nights and had a great experience! The family who runs the place is very friendly, and they even brought us homemade cookies after check-in. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. It was $5 US or $7 CA to use. It’s also conveniently located not far from the wildlife viewing platform, where you can see a mix of black bears, grizzlies, and salmon running.

Nice little campground with great access to Salmon Glacier and the bear viewing platform that is just up the road. We also saw tons of bald eagles fishing in the river nearby. The family who runs the campground does an excellent job and are super friendly. We only planned on staying 4 nights and decided to extend to 7. Any time we needed anything, they were very accessible either via a visit to the on-site office or a quick phone call if they were out at the time. Also be sure to find the fish and chips place on 3rd street. Jim and Diana are also amazing people. Jim catches fresh fish weekly and Diana cooks it up nice and crispy. We also had so much fun at the Glacier Inn getting “Hyderized”, playing pool and just...
