Gunsight Mountain Lodge — Hotel in Alaska

Lovely lodge and it will be superb when completed. However our fault that we didn't read the details properly about the lack of showers etc , and we totally understand that it is a work in progress, and wish you well in your journey. Having said that, we felt that whilst the showers and bathrooms are incomplete, the price should have been lower. Not really complaining , but price was steep for that reason. But it hasn't spoilt our trip and we appreciate all you did for us....

Stayed the weekend and had a really great time. The owners were helpful and really nice people. They are working hard to provide clean rooms at a great price. Book early they are busy people! The rooms are huge and accommodate families well. Just an alert that rooms do not have bathrooms. There is a shared restroom for guests to use. Not a big deal for us though as they were clean and easy to access. We were able to ride snowmachines right from the parking...

We stayed two nights dry camping in our RV. Man, is this a treat! Hap and Shar have done an amazing job getting the lodge up and going for this season. We got a small tour of the renovated rooms and they look so spacious and comfortable. Cell service in this area is spotty, but we had 2 bars of service with AT&T.

Looking forward to stopping back by again soon, if only to visit with the owners and stretching out legs while...
