Hatcher Pass Castle — Hotel in Alaska

I absolutely loved my stay. I only wish I could have stayed longer! I ended at the Castle by providence. I was struggling to find a place to stay for the first night of a busy holiday weekend. I didn't want to drive 2 hours after getting off of a 6 hour flight, but it seemed like the best of my limited options. I was blown away. The stay was incredible--I wished that I had booked it for the whole weekend! It was high enough in elevation that there were no bugs and no bears. The drive through Hatcher's Pass was amazing. I enjoyed sitting and looking at the horizon from the balcony outside my room as long as I could. Luckily, I forgot something in my room, so a couple days later the hostess notified me, and I got the true pleasure of the drive again and while I was there I went on a great ATV tour as well. I would 100% recommend to a friend, and I would love to return, maybe during winter this time! I hear it's beautiful in the winter too. My husband and I came across Hatcher Pass Castle online. We were looking for a place to stay in the area and we were not disappointed. It was off grid but had all the amenities one might need including Wi-Fi. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and we felt right at home. The room was so inviting with the sound of nature as we entered. There was a common kitchen where we could make our breakfast and talk with others. Shout out to Mike for all his help and the great Latte he made for me. We also booked an ATV guided tour while there. Driving on paths and through streams and mud, what an amazing time. We absolutely loved our stay at the Hatcher Pass Castle—we didn't want to leave! The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and peaceful; you can even hear the soothing sound of the river across the road. The surrounding scenery is unparalleled, offering a true wilderness experience. The owners were incredibly friendly and responsive, ensuring we enjoyed every moment of our stay.
