A separate review for the fishing portion of Jimmie Jack’s will follow, but a separate review was needed for just the lodge because both were excellent with their own key points needing to be addressed individually. The lodge, to start, is in a prime location with unobstructed views of the inlet. With large picture windows from the great room, you can see it all at all times of day. It’s easily accessible and central to all of the main fishing outings you may choose, and it’s also close enough to Soldotna should any last minute needs arise. The room was very nice and slept 3 of us comfortably. It felt very home-y as opposed to what you might typically expect from a more “rustic” fishing lodge. With daily turndown service, it also had the high-end resort feel. All the other guests staying in the lodge were also very pleasant, which is a testament to the quality of the establishment. We met some great people and enjoyed lots of conversation and camaraderie over our week here. Last but certainly not least: the lodge staff. Every one of them is nothing short of spectacular. They run a tight ship and are incredibly organized which makes this an even more enjoyable experience. They are all so friendly and personable that it makes this place feel like you’re staying with family instead of a fishing lodge. And of course, what’s a review of SeaScape lodge without mentioning the food. Chefs Jerry and Audra are masters of their art and the food was out of this world. They were both very accommodating to my dietary restrictions and went out of their way to provide all kinds of options for me which was so appreciated. Funny enough: the excellent food is so well known that boat captains in Homer were asking us what we had for dinner the night before! A long review, I know, but there’s a lot to be said about such a great place. Long story short: 5 stars doesn’t feel like enough. A truly great experience.

Just completed a five night stay at this exceptional lodge. It is exceptional because of the staff that run it. They will do absolutely anything to make their guests have the best experience possible. That is certainly what happened in our case. The sleeping accommodations we super comfortable and the food is off the charts delicious. Everything from the king crab legs to the shrimp and scallop fettuccini Alfredo with fresh out of the oven sourdough bread make this lodge a must if you want to fish the Kenai region. We fished the Kenai River for king salmon, drove to Ninilchik for halibut, Seward for halibut and Homer for halibut, rockfish and cod. The fishing experience was off the charts phenomenal; like I’ve never experienced before....... and I’ve been to several fishing lodges in Canada. Jimmie Jack Fishing is five star lodging and five star fishing. If you are looking for a five star experience, look no further than Jimmie Jack Fishing.

The Seascape Lodge is a 5 star operation. The room was perfect with a private bathroom and shower. It had room darkeners that allowed us to sleep well on the comfortable mattresses. The maid service was very good and the room was cleaned daily with no linens. The food was top notch and delicious meals were served daily. Breakfast was cook to order and you fill out a lunch slip daily to customize your lunch sandwich to your liking. The house staff are all very friendly and do EVERYTHING to make your visit spectacular. They will even order your favorite alcohol and mix for your evening cocktails. You will not be disappointed with your stay here and the view of MT Redoubt is spectacular as well. We seen Moose & several eagles from the lodge.
