Location to area attractions and downtown is very good. Site spacing is tight which is typical AK. All hookups worked fine. Private lockable shower/full bathrooms are excellent. This is the set up all campgrounds should have instead of just flimsy shower curtains for privacy. Shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Laundry room was well set up and reasonable, $2 per washer and per dryer which is the best value we have found in AK so far. Grounds could use some clean up but we were glad to see grass mowed as some reviews said was unkempt. Garbage dumpster had overflowed which should not happen. Management was seen tamping dumpster down to put overflow back in it. Could have been a fluke and not campgrounds fault if trash hauler had an issue and could not come on scheduled days. Not much of Mountain views anymore with trees surrounding the property. We suspect when the CG first opened decades ago there were views. But from the road heading in and from downtown Palmer itself there are mountain views. Super easy access to the Musk OX FARM, Reindeer farm and historic downtown make this CG a great base for day trips. They have a nice covered Pavillion and we can see what caravan/RV tour groups use this CG. We would stay again.

The park had nearly all pull-in sites. They have a nice mountain view. It is too bad the campground is situated so that the sites have the back side of the RV facing the mountains. Laundry area is large and clean. Camping sites are mostly grass. May have had some gravel at one time. Not a lot of space between sites. Large enough campground that it accommodates caravans. I think there were 3 that came in during our 5 day stay. Wi-fi was decent; phone service (AT&T) was good.

Large RV park with electricity, water and dumping as well as picnic table at the pitch. The pitches are right next to each other. Only one central fire pit. Shower, toilet, fully in order. Launderette with coin-operated machine. We had nice evenings with a 25 ft RV, as the site was very lightly frequented and the evening sun was beautiful.

First impressions go a long way for us. We arrived in Palmer and tried to locate a year round RV park as we have relocated to the area. During our research we saw two that claimed they were (we found this is not the case anymore). While trying to locate them we came across Mountain View and we did a drive through, checking the lots and the grounds. We were impressed at the lawns and the space as well as the trees that lined the t After checking out the other parks we called back to Mountain View and were greeted by a very friendly voice that answered our questions and provided us with a fantastic spot for year round residence. They helped us set up the unit with good support under the jacks to help prevent unbalanced settling once the rains come. On a customer service level, Mountain View far exceeds some of the other parks in the area (Big Bear could take some serious lessons from here). We are very impressed with the customer service level provided not only to us but to the weekend visitors we have had the opportunity to interact...

Owner has no clear rules, I guess so he can make them up as he goes. Dogs have to be tied up, so if they usually just have a shock collar don’t plan on that. ||Owner seems to prefer children to be seen and not heard. They are only allowed to play in your camp space and if a ball accidentally ends up in someone else’s the tenant complains and owner will speed down the road to yell at you. ||People who smoke just go to a table away from their site and then you get to smell their nasty habit. (Hopefully they can improve it by go wing them a place to smoke away from everybody. ||Quiet time is at 9pm ||Kids are not allowed to go near the wood around the camp site. It’s just all around not kid friendly. ||The Mountain View was amazing. ||Place was easy to find. If you have no children and no dogs this would be a play to come for...
