If you're looking for a campground with a view or a great place to walk then you should stay at Ninilchik View Campground.
Ninilchik View Campground isn't very large, in fact it's nearly hidden from the Sterling Highway. Finding that site with the view may be difficult. The road and sites will accommodate large RVs, but you'll need to backup and pivot a few times to make the corners.
What makes Ninilchik View Campground special are the stairs down to the beach. If the stairs didn't exist this would be a much longer walk, but honestly you would most likely drive down.

My biggest concerns was they locked the gate not allowing people to leave from midnight to 9am. This is a major safety hazard especially with the potential for serious injuries with delayed cared for hours. Pretty dusty with vehicles going by, needs to be watered down the roads and trails.
They did allow dogs which was great.
