We love coming out here with family. It’s a beautiful campground with lots of tables for picnics that are only a short walk to the beautiful beach and it is really easy to bring a kayak (inflatable or hard shell) to go out paddling in the pristine Kenai Lake. I love the quick and easy access by vehicle and great scenery for taking pictures and enjoying a nice day out with family and friends. Read moreThis is a great campground, more of a 4.25. Always well maintained, some sites a little more secluded than others. I liked camping closer to the creek. Going up the creek as the salmon runs start to tail off, the amount of sockeye and some large kings mixed in is a sight to see. Read moreCame in w/o a reservation and very lucky to find a site for 4 consecutive days. Reservations can only be made 5 days in advance of arrival. Dump station is frequently closed due to overuse. Many people are using and not paying the $10 especially some not camping in the campground. Verizon connectivity was fair to good. Salmon fishing here is prohibited but trout fishing is good.
