Tordrillo Mountain Lodge — Hotel in Alaska

What an incredible vacation jewel. I am on cloud 9 literally floating from our magical trip here. We are a very well travelled family and this is at the top of my list for every family seeking out memories that they will treasure for a lifetime. From the time we landed via a picturesque journey via seaplane every single adventure and detail to our care was taken care of. What a wonderful special crew of angels this resort has. The entire staff treated us like family from Stu the chef, to Jen the mother of the resort and organizer extraordinaire, to Mike (the owner of the resort who literally cared for my teenage son with such attention), Meg (with the magic hands who gave us the best massages) and Desi. Desi literally made our trip so special - he was our guide for the week and spent his days and evenings ensuring that our trip was filled with incredible moments. The beauty of this resort is how isolated and serene it is- words do it no justice except since I have returned and posted on my Instagram my friends are all now planning their trips. The hotel lodge has luxury helicopters, seaplanes, and every water toy you can dream of. We went heli fishing, white water rafting, hiking, climbed the most incredible Via Ferrata with Mike and Desi, took a helicopter over the glaciers and went hiking and exploring in areas that made me feel we had stepped into another planet! The food was decadent. My son spent his free time being driven around by Mike or Desi while he perfected water wake surfing.He was able to do the foil surf board thingies, shooting, you name it, you dream it and they make it happen. We cannot wait to return to this magical destination.Please just book it! It will be the trip you talk about for years.||Oh best of all- during the era of Covid, as a medical doctor I really especially appreciated how safe this hotel was. Everything was pristine clean and sanitized, not overcrowded at all, the staff all quarantine there and every guest is required to have a covid test 72 hrs or less prior to arrival.As a result we spent our week maskless, safe and had a much needed vacation to literally breathe, recalibrate and be...

I was referred to Tordrillo Mountain Lodge because they were in needed of a Five Star Massage Therapist. I happen to be highly reviewed and was selected out of the many qualified applicants. I arrived there by small float plane from Anchorage. A 45 minute flight , and to be honest the ride was fun. I been in worse car rides. My pilot was great, Very informative , and we flew right by the sleeping Lady’s Head. The plane landed on Jude Lake so smooth. I felt like a child at an amusement park. The gorgeous panoramic mountainous backdrop is reflected by the lake. It’s the perfect place to make memories you will talk about for the rest of your life. When I was not working I definitely felt so privileged to be there enjoying all the many amenities. All the staff was amazing, friendly, and informed. The housing for guest is amazing and the chefs are 5star. There is so much I’m leaving out. I feel like I could write a book about how awesome this luxury destination is. There was so much to do. Ski, climb, fat tire biking , target practice , Shot put, water ski, paddle board and boat, fishing is 5star. Literally unbelievable how visible and plentiful the fish are. Wow!
