We stayed in a panoramic glass cabin at Wilding Hotels in Fairbanks, Alaska and it felt like stepping into a winter wonderland. The entire cabin has heated floors, and the glass warms up too so snow and ice melt off instead of blocking the view. The cabins face north, which means you can watch the aurora from bed on clear nights. Our deluxe suite also had a private sauna and its own firepit. The property sits about twenty minutes from downtown Fairbanks, far enough from the city to stay quiet and peaceful while keeping restaurants and activities within reach. The light pollution is low out here so the stars and Northern Lights look bright and clear when the sky opens up. The concierge team helps with anything you need. They’ll start your sauna, set up the firepit, bring wool blankets, and help book activities like dog sledding. They also offer restaurant suggestions, private chef bookings, and grocery stocking before you arrive so the kitchen is ready to go. It’s a great spot for a romantic couples trip, especially if you want night sky views without stepping outside. We ended the night watching the Northern Lights drift across the sky and it didn’t feel real. A glass cabin with a private sauna is one of the easiest ways to see the northern lights in Fairbanks, Alaska. We stayed here for three nights in November and saw great northern lights the entire trip. Fairbanks is one of the most reliable places in the world for aurora viewing, and a stay like this lets you watch the sky move without stepping into the cold. It’s the kind of Fairbanks Alaska hotel setup that makes northern lights Alaska travel feel simple. This spot is only a 15 minute drive from town, but it feels like you’re tucked deep into Alaska winter cabin country. Every cabin faces north for the best views, and the heated windows keep your view clear even when the temperatures drop. The floors are heated too, so your tootsies stay warm and cozy. Each cabin has a real toilet, a full shower, a bathtub, and a kitchenette, so it feels like a luxury hotel instead of a rustic escape. There are only four cabins here, and each one comes with concierge service. They can help book activities like dog sledding, snowmobiling, or walking with reindeer. If you want to stay in, you can request a private chef or have groceries delivered ahead of time. They’ll warm up your wood-fired sauna before you get back and drop off wool blankets so you can sit by the fire and watch Fairbanks light up. Use code FLYANDFOTO10 for 10% off your stay. About @flyandfoto: We’re Kasey and Jason, an elder millennial couple chasing dark skies and dreamy spots. Northern Lights and Milky Way? Always. Camping? Absolutely not. We come with zero ability to pack light and an unhealthy obsession with photographing the sky. ✈️ 🌌 Follow us if you want to sleep under the stars without roughing it.

We had an absolutely amazing of a time at Wilding Hotels! There was absolutely no better way to watch the northern lights, than from your cozy warm bed!! That alone was worth every dollar.

The room was perfect and had all of the amenities we needed, including some extras. Having your own private sauna was just a cherry on top!

The hotel is 15 minutes away from Fairbanks, which we really appreciated. Any shopping, restaurants, or activities were right around the corner.

Wilding Hotels concierge service was able to put together some very fun and exciting activities, including dog sledding, snowmobiling, helicopter flight, reindeer walk, and Chena Hot Springs tour! It was a trio of a lifetime!

Both Amy and Andrea were so kind and helpful before and during the stay.

We highly recommend this place, and definitely plan...

For a newly built property—this stay exceeded all expectations. The glass container design is not only visually stunning but also impressively warm and comfortable, with heated floors throughout and state-of-the-art technology enhancing the experience.

What truly sets this place apart is the outstanding management. From daily check-in texts to personally delivering coffee and providing thoughtful recommendations for sightseeing, tours, and dining, their attention to detail was unmatched. Even on snowy days, they proactively checked in to ensure we arrived at our destinations safely.

For anyone seeking a modern, beautifully designed stay with top-tier hospitality and upcoming amenities like a personal sauna, I highly recommend this location. This is a standout option for experiencing Fairbanks in both...

Had an amazing experience staying at the Wilding Hotels Alaska location. The space was cozy but still felt elevated, the beds were extremely comfortable and plenty warm (which I was worried about with Alaska weather!) The heated floor kept us warm and comfy the whole time. Fairbanks also had a surprising amount to do between the Ice Castle World Championships, the World Championship Sled Dog Sprints and a private sled dog tour. But I also could have happily stayed in the unit to relax the majority of the time. The staff was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The biggest highlight was definitely watching the Northern Lights go across the sky from our bed 3 nights in a row....
