Willow Creek State campground — Hotel in Alaska

Bring your bug spray. This state campground is near the water and in the woods. After a good rain the mosquitos will carry you away . Tent camp sites are located in wooded areas. RV sites are a shared parking lot that can be cramped, lack of privacy, and difficult to back into.

The campground is really a parking lot with most sites having two spaces. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. There was a spot for a host, but no one was present. The pit toilets we looked at were subpar even for pit toilets, but didn't appear they were being maintained yet. It felt oddly deserted for the end of June 2025. We ended up going to a different campground...
