Sacred Grove is truly a sacred space. The amazing beauty of nature is matched with the peaceful energy that surrounds you as you step onto the grounds. It is beautifully enhanced with fire circles, quartz crystals, sitting areas, sweat lodges and a dance arbor. In addition, the labyrinth gives you an opportunity to delve into deep reflection. Meetings are held in a spacious, comfortable, heated/cooled yurt. The Grove house, which includes a full kitchen, living room, dining area, etc., has options for your sleeping comfort needs as do the smaller more private structures on the property. There's always the option to camp on the grounds, too! A big kitchen in the log house allows for groups to provide meals for their participants. The proprietress, Ellen Whiteside, is warm, friendly and very accommodating. Read moreMy home away from home. I have stayed at Sacred Grove Retreat a few times now. Even though I am local I find this stay and true wonderful retreat. I love the Thoreau Cabin. It is small , quaint and perfect for one or two to relax. Being a visual artist, I retreat there for all the inspiration and calm that I need to produce that in my artwork. The cabin is my choice but Ellen has other options for more than one person.
Ellen is that most precious and accommodating proprietor of this great " sacred place to be". She understands ones need for privacy. Walking the calming lovingly laid out paths within the wooded area brings nature back to me as I stroll and see the little niches of carefully laid out items of earthy content that she has intentionally added to make your stroll awesome and requires you to stop briefly and say " ahhhhhhhhh" I love this place ....

Read moreSacred Grove is a little slice of heaven in the woods! My first visit there in 2018 stepping on the grounds, I found it instantly peaceful. Since then I have stayed there several times and found the Grove a place where I come back to nature and have experienced several breakthroughs through active and passive activities like doing the ropes course with a group or meditation. It’s a magical reprieve to recharge my batteries from the sometimes complicated and complex world. Ellen is a wonderful, caring host who has cultivated a beautiful atmosphere throughout the grounds. This is a perfect place for weekend getaways, week long retreats and everything in between. I highly recommend Sacred Grove if you’re looking to connect with nature, yourself, or take a group of people there to reach for a higher level of connectedness and achievement. Truly, this place is...
